Monkeys on Monday

The title is due to a monkey I saw on TV this weekend. It was a baby monkey and it had the biggest bona fide smile on it's face. So cute.
I am still alive. Still recovering but alive. Recovery hasn't been terrible although I do not recommend solely breathing through one's mouth if it can be helped. I am starting to be able to breathe through my nose and that is a wonderful thing. Still a lot of bleeding though which makes all my food taste kind of gross. The only things that were really yummy this weekend were ice cream and sorbet. Ice cream is a no-no because it produces mucuous but I had it anyway. This morning, I'm having coffee and olives for breakfast. Go figure. I've got a follow up with the doc today at noon to get the little splints out of my nose. I am very much looking forward to having them gone but am very much NOT looking forward to the process of getting them removed. I think that is going to be awful. (I hope I'm wrong.) Aside from the doc appointment, I'll be resting and taking it easy today.
I won't even attempt a food journal because it would all be lies anyway. :D (I don't know what I want from one minute to the next.)
Ew-I can't imagine. It sounds horrible. I woke up with a stuffy nose and sore throat (again) and thought of what you are going through. Do you have big black eyes or anything like that?

No, thankfully. My cheeks are still a tiny bit swollen but I look almost normal.
