-42 windchill?!   BBBBRRRRRRR....it's so cold!  I am so sore from yoga yesterday.  My obliques are screaming, and my leGS ache with every step.  Or is it from snow blowing/shoveling?  All of the schools are closed today, and, unfortunately, I have a meeting scheduled with a client, so unless they closed their office today, I HAVE to work.  We saw the coyotes just beyond our fence last night, eating thdh read dh put out for the birds.  Even though they eat small dogs, I felt bad for them...it's just too cold!

stay warm, everyone.  It's dangerously cold out there.

I don't know if it is "standard" or not, but when my Endodontist identified the infection, I think he was embarrassed?  In any event, when I was confronted with the bill, I was so shocked (like an additional root canal), he immediately said that he would make sure that I didn't pay any out-of-pocket expenses, stating, "I stand behind my work."  In other words, he took responsibility for the infection.   Mind you, his fees are very high to start with, but he is the ONLY clinician to get me numb on the first try, EVER, in my lifetime!

Fresh, tell me more about your endodontist making sure you didn't have to pay for the work done for the infection. Apparently, I have a real mess to deal with. I am so pissed at all of this because now I have to start all over with deductibles, etc.

Ugh on your root canal infection!  Is the clinician taking "responsibility" for the infection?  My endodontist mad ensure that I paid zero dollars out of pocket for thI work caused by the infection I got, although he did get reimbursed by my insurance company for much of the work.

since there isn't much they do for a broken foot, I decided to wait, thinking that it was nothing.  BUT, I am thinking that I will call in the morning and have an X-ray to be safe, since the swelling is increasing, as it did when I broke my foot.  :(. Keep your fingers crossed...I really don't want a long recovery for another broken foot!

FSN, I too hope your foot is okay.

I can't imagine how you ladies are managing to stay warm.  Of course, living in the desert for umpteen years has turned me into a complete wuss when it comes to cold.

Omgosh Fresh, I hope you haven't broken your foot. Is the Urgent Care or something like that open so you can go get it looked at?

I just got home from the dentist and they were unable to do my crown. Apparently, all the pain I have been experiencing is an infection from the root canal. Ugg. So now I will be taking anti-biotics for the next 10 days and then we will try again.

And the cold is brutal! My power has "browned out" a few times and it is darn scary with temps like this. I did make it to the gym and it was so cold in there that people were on the cardio equipment with sweats on. I do not know how Jean is skiing in this. They closed the ski slopes in Indiana because it is too cold. Totally crazy stuff!

65?!  AZ sounds good right about now.  Karla....no car?  I can't imagine...and I didn't think of overloading the circuits.  Omg...the thought of no heat is AWFUL!!!  I came home early beause a heavy wood bench fell on my foot (the same one that was broken a few years ago) and its all swollen and I am having trouble walking.  :(. There are car accidents all over the place!  My car is not handling well, either.  (Sigh). I hope I didn't break my foot!

lol It is warmer outside at your house than it is inside at some of my friend's homes. What a nightmare this is!

Woohoo on the eliptical! I am so glad to hear it felt so good for you.  I would like to get to the gym today to get on the eliptical but it is not going to happen.

Last I heard the windchill here was -20. The actual temp is -4 and my husband has been trying to get into our cars for an hour. He can only stand outside for a few minutes at a time and nothing is working to break through the ice. I am supposed to be getting a crown today but it does not look like I am going to make it.

We have the wood stove cranked full blast so it is warm in my house. It has been at least 20 years since this area has had temps like this and they are warning people not to crank up their thermostats because it could over load things and blow the electric for everyone. I can't imagine how people would make it in these kind of temps with no power.

Since there is not much open around here I plan to just spend the day hanging out on the internet. I have chicken and dumplings in the crockpot.
