My last free Tuesday?

They started skiing this past weekend but are closed during the week for now. They might decide next week to stay open during the week, in which case I have to start teaching. I normally can't wait for ski season but right now, I'm exhausted by the thought of it. I'm sure it'll be different once it starts. Also, with my son gone, my daughter and husband have decided they don't want to go up as often so it'll be me. Well, me in the family and then all of our friends up there.

I am going to the gym again today to do some sort of cycling projector class. I have no idea what it's about but it's some sort of indoor cycling.  I don't know if I've told you I think I have plantar plate and it hurts the balls of my feet to walk/run. I'm saving my impact for parkour and will try not to do anything more to aggravate it.  Thankfully, skiing is non-impact.

GR, putting this here because I'm too lazy to put it on the other thread.  Thanks for the OP info. I'd never heard of it and was thinking original poster?

LOL Jean.  I've posted it a bunch of times to designate between DH and OP.  Cool

Hopefully, you find your groove once skiing starts.  It's a bummer to have something ahead of you that you're just not excited about.

I'm doing some cardio this morning (maybe step) and then I've got to go get an allergy shot.  Afterward, heading over to OP's to help with the sick doggie.  It's kind of like caring for an invalid.  I went over there yesterday to help and the poor thing is just walking in circles or will walk into a wall and just stop.  She does seem to be getting better though.  It's a small improvement but still.  She's not vomiting anymore and we still have to force her to eat and drink but she is getting around a little better.  The big Santa pub crawl that we usually do every year is this weekend but I decided a week or so ago that I'm not feeling it.  I've offered to dogsit so OP can go.  He literally can't leave the dog so it will be good for him to get out.

Doesn't it seem like Christmas is coming faster this year?!  Yikes!  Jean and GR, how were your Thanksgiving festivities?  I would think you would need a full week to recover!  Skiing sounds like fun, although woman a novice and fear, somewhat, hurting myself!  I thought about snowboard lessons at a local hill, here, but opted against it with all of my other injuries, I don't want to add to it.  :O. GR, the poor dog!  I postThea videof of a dog poem bt Jimmy Stewart, and was taken with how many people get such wonderful, unconditional loving from pets.  It's a universal experience from those that lova pets.  :). I did early morning yoga, have much work, and am contemplating a mall visit with pI tow tow tonight, although I may opt out since I am stilrelighting off this cold (or is it allergies?). Tomorrow night, I go Linedancing, and Thursday night, I have a salsa class.  :). Life is good.  Have I mentioned that the chiropractic/PT work has added a 10 degree curve to my neck based oa before and after X-rays.  They said that in a "normal" person, there should be a 45 degree curve.  I was at 10 degrees, probably because of the car accidents I have been in,  they hypothesized that the accidents may be the source of my nerve pain.  I am giving it a shot, but it is annoying to have to go there twice a week (they want me there 3 times a week to which I said, "no."). Aahhhh, well, I can feel/hear my spine crankle on its own more frequently which leads me to think that I AM adding back in those curves.  Very clinician has a different opinion and hypothesis.  I just want the pain to go away, and I would LOVE to someday be able to swim laps again, without the excruciating pain that ensues.  Gee, I am whining a lot.  I am blessed to be able to do yoga!  Make it a great day, everyone!

I am so afraid to even try skiing. After what happend to my son's leg (complete break through two bones) on his first time out, I can't ever even attempt it. And yikes on that plantar's thing. I have been reading about it and it sounds awful.

And no I can't believe that Christmas is just weeks away. I scored big time on deals yesterday. I typically get my jeans from Alloy.com (they have pants with 37 inch inseams) and I got a coupon for 40% off cyber Monday only. I got myself a pair of khaki dress slacks and two pairs of jeans for my youngest daugher (she is 5'8) for far less than I typically pay. I also was able to use a coupon code for a Columbia jacket for my son at a sporting goods store and got it for almost half price. Yay for coupons!

I need to get busy and get some toys for the grands. I tell the kids every year that we are cutting back and this year I truly mean it. lol

I've read OP before but didn't try to figure it out (Outrageous personality, other parent,...).  Your puppy sounds like a client I had who had vertigo. She had to do exercises and take medication. She said they had a test she had to self-administer.  Sit down, Fall to one side, Sit up, Fall to the other. Sit up. Fall backward. If she could do it w/out throwing up, she was better. I think that would make me want to throw up!

So cycle projector is just spinning w/ a screen showing a movie. Today was a cycling film.  It was okay. The instructor was good.

Oh did I tell you all I'm doing the Perricone diet again w/ a friend? This is probably one of the best quick weight loss and still eat a lot of food diets out there. And, it's not even a weight loss diet.  It's really about eating low inflammatory foods but it always leads to weight loss for me and I normally keep it off by keeping remnants of it.  I've been doing a variation of that for years now. But, I'm back on strictly for now until ski season. I always lose weight during ski season.

Where should your neck/back be curved 45 degrees?  I can't imagine any place or direction where it would do that.  I really think you could find a specialist who could help you w/ that. It's just hard to find someone legitimate!

What was your son doing that he broke his leg like that on his first day out?  Normally people don't get up enough speed to torque their legs that much!  It's definitely easy to take it safe as a beginner when you're skiing, as long as you pay attention to people behind you.  I've heard there's a new "sport" where kids try to see how close they can get to someone or to knock them over.  Crazy. It's like that knock out game. What is wrong w/ kids these days???

I had an annoying day. I worked from home this afternoon so that I could have my furnace cleaned...two weeks ago I did the same thing but they didn't call in the window of time they said...I went to the gym and then they called. So today I knew to wait...the guy called at 5:10. I had planned a nice afternoon....'work' was in name only...but an 'emergency' meeting got scheduled, followed by a 'crisis'. And a nasty email exchange about something stupid....it was a wasted day and mostly what I did was eat...I hate those days....when all I can think of is wat toeat next...and I don't actually have much junk, so it wasn't even good bad eating. I could have gone to the. Gym, but it was cold and dark and I was full of whacky food, so I didn't. I will do abs while watching the Biggest Loser. I am with the group afraid to ski....plus I hate to be cold so if I went to a ski lodge, I wouldbe sitting at the fireplace drinking brandy laced hot chocolate. I am doing very. Little gift buying this year and so I have no bargains to share. I did go to Donors Choose last night for some early 'Giving Tuesday' action. It is a website where teachers can post wants and you can choose to give to a project. There are lots of ways to choose- your cityor state, type of project, high poverty....some things seem frivolous to me but others break my heart. Good teachers make such. A difference to kids...l

So frustrating! Can you find a new furnace company?  I hate waiting around for people who can't be bothered to keep me up to date if something is running late.  Donors choice is a great idea. It's sad when you see what some school districts have/don't have.  We've lived in nice areas where collections always bring in a ton of money/presents. Teachers get so many gift cards that they can't use them all. It would be nice to acknowledge all teachers and not just our immediate.
