On my way out the door Tuesday

Just a quick post before I dash out to ski. It's raining out but I'm on the schedule to teach so I'm leaving soon. The tough part is no one is going to come, given the weather, so there might be a lot of sitting around. I'm hoping to get in some runs, at least! What are you all up to today?

I have two clients this morning with a doc appointment sandwiched in between. I'm starting to think that I have a sinus infection AGAIN. East coast people - can you hear me screaming?
Thankfully, the doc appointment is with the allergist so we'll see what he has to say. My energy levels have been in the toilet and I've had sinus headaches. I got dressed to workout this morning but hubby convinced me to forgo.
Meh. I'm going to need a lot of coffee today.
You poor thing GR. {{{hugs}}} I am thinking there must be something airborn that is complicating your sinus issues every time you get sick. :( I am thinking that lung damage I sustained when my parents smoked like chimney stacks, along with my smoking as a teen, makes every cold and flu I get more difficult to recover from. Oh well.
Jean, it sounds like you are making lemondade out of lemons - enjoy your runs!
I did early morning yoga today and I am exhausted. It's gonna take a while to get back to the level of conditioning I was at pre-flu. However, I needed the relaxation because I have a meeting this afternoon where I expect to be ambushed by a couple egos. Ugh. So, I am over prepared, with several analyses ready for presentation. As I get older, I have less tolerance for this bs, and there is a two-word phrase that I would rather say to these people. :( :( My mother once told me that when she got to that point, she knew it was time for her to retire. Hah! I have three kids to put through college, so that will have to wait.
B green smoothie (cucumber, ginger, pear, baby kale, celery), apple sauce, fruit nut bar
Snack - cucumbers and celery with lemon
L I dunno yet...roast beef sandwich and salad?
S banana, apple
D soup? fish? or perhaps egg whites with grilled veggies
Dessert vanilla ice cream w/chocolate sauce (or a healthy choice fudgecicle), and I'll definitely be having a glass of wine tonight!
Jean, you are one tough cookie! I hate cold and snow too much to ever learn to ski. And since my son broke his leg so badly once skiing, I don't have the nerve to try it. I saw what happened to his leg and I can't ever get those images out of my mind.
Gym, I am so sorry you are sick. What a nightmare!
Fresh, I am going to start Yoga again when they start up classes in two weeks. I am really looking forward to it.
SJ-wow! You know right now I am obsessed with Holocaust stories. I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to see Auschwitz in real life.

I'm impressed that your nephew could go, too. I don't think I could handle it, even at my age. I haven't even been able to visit the Holocaust museum here yet. I think I should but reading about it, learning about it is hard enough.
Wow,SJ, that sounds emotionally exhausting. I can't imagine the "energy" surrounding that place. But how nice that your nephew is visiting, and that you had the opportunity to experience that with another family member!
