I wish I could get up really early and work out. I have tried many times to establish an early morning exercise routine then finally had to admit that it was never going to work for me because I didn't like it and didn't want to do it. No matter how determined I am to get up early and hit a class, I can't stick with it past a few weeks. Well, I shouldn't say can't; it's more like I just won't.

I met up with a bunch of the "neighborhood" girls this weekend. We all lived in the same neighborhood all our young lives until we hit adulthood then moved away. We all went to the same schools, played with the same kids, went to either one church or the other, all had to be home for dinner at the same time, etc.  It is just like something straight out of the movies that you rarely hear people talk about anymore. Most of our parents still live there in the same houses. It was so fun visiting that I didn't want to leave. It is amazing how different our lives have all been yet we still have that same neighborhood bond. It felt like I had seen the girls just yesterday and a couple I've not seen in 20 years.

I have a bunch of chores to do today since I was gone Saturday and entertained family all day yesterday. I am going to try to get to cross-fit tonight.

Leftovers for dinner.

I'm back!  What a great time I had--9 days of skiing. I had the most incredible instructor at Whiteface.  I've always wanted to ski w/ her, she's probably one of the most well known instructors in the country.  We did 4 days w/ her and then I headed to Stratton w/ my family for more skiing.  LOL, and we ran into quite a few of the instructors from our local resort (over 20!). We were supposed to be closed but they extended, plus it snowed so apparently, they were very short on instructors over spring break. I ended up cutting my vacation short to go back to teach.  We closed out the season on Saturday. I'm sad to see it end but need some rest!

I'm going to zumba today. I was supposed to have some early morning clients-ish; all of whom cancelled. I get paid but it's still frustrating waking up early for nothing. I have an hour and then off to class. I haven't done cardio in so long!

Good morning :-) sounds like you all had some fun stuff going on!

I've got a killer sinus headache this morning and feel blah from the junk food yesterday. I've got some random household chores to catch up ontoday and I'm up a few lbs, so time to clean it up.

Oat meal, coffee

Gr yogurt & strawberries

Tuna on salad

Apple, almonds

Chicken breast & veggies

Incline training on Treadmill, put together new 1 hr circuit

FSN, sounds like a great weekend!

Karla - how neat!  That is definitely rare.

Jean - glad you got some good skiing in!

I had a client this morning and was supposed to work this afternoon but she cancelled.  I did a strength workout this morning and I'm happy to report that my energy seems to have returned!  I've been having coffee because I enjoy it and not because I "need" it.

I must say that 5:30 is a little too early for me. I am DRAGGING right now, so I think I will take the pup out for training...so that I don't take a nap and forever be Off on my schedule! Karla, your neighborhood party sounds like so much fun. We used to have one of those in Bloomington, IN every 10 (?) years or so. It's hard to get everyone together because so many families have dispersed. Jean, welcome back...you were sorely missed...pun intended. I LOVE that you really took advantage of the season. Dancin', I am so glad you are back...You add an artistic dimension to the board. And SJ, where are you today, and are you getting back to the workouts you crave? And where is gymrat today? She must have so much more energy with the absence of her sinus issues! Ciao. Gotta go before I fall asleep!

I am not a morning person. One of the few times I went to the gym before work, they were telling people there was no hot water...I said quite loudly 'I am never coming to the gym in the morning again' and I am sure the morning regulars thought 'what a b**ch'. and the water was fixed when I was done... But I am really marginally functional in the morning, so after work gym is better for me. And tht is what I I'd today...13 minute bike warmup, lifting for chest, back, abs, and ran 1.5 miles in 21:30. Running is not coming easily...my foot that I broke three plus years ago is bothering me, and I feel like my heart rate is too high. My blood pressure medication has been switched to a generic, and I wonder if it is not working as well. I have a doctor's appointment to check it this week, and I will ask. Jean - glad your. Skiing was fun. fSN - glad your daughter was fun. Karla - glad your Party was fun. Gymrat - glad you are feeling better, since your whole life seems fun. Dancing - hope you feel better so you can have some fun.

I'm with everyone else on the early morning workouts. I want to enjoy them and i just don't when I have to wake up at 4am.  I'd be equally annoyed at having no hot water--who wants to go to work w/out showering???
