I was so glad when my daughter's got out of competition. Like you, I couldn't stand to sit and watch all day long. Some of the other mother's drove me crazy because of how serious they took things.

It's raining like cats and dogs here and our glorious 80 degree weather is gone. booo! I have homework to do all weekend so it's probably a good thing that the weather has turned yucky again. I won't be tempted to go to the park and I might actually get things done.

I don't know whether I'm just more aware of dogs and blown ACLs or if it seems to be happening more. You are the third person in the last few months I've heard of that has to get this surgery for their dog. How does a dog get injured like that?

Congrats on the weight maintenance! You must be eating healthier. :-)

OMG, I can't deal w/ dance moms. I surround myself w/ other moms who work out/run and we have non-competition things to talk about.

I was wondering if we're just more aware of the pets and ACLs. In the past, you'd never take a dog in for an injury like that, let alone go through surgery, etc. I remember my mom having a fit when we paid to have our dog spayed.
