Sorry I've been missing so much these days!  I'm so ocd when it comes to ski season because it's so short here.  I've been there most of this week and then took yesterday to do nothing. Oh, I did go to a pialtes reformer personal training session and work.  I'm having just an amazing amount of fun skiing and feel like I'm skiing better than ever. Clinicians at the mountain have commented on my improvement and it's feeling really good right now. LOL, we joke about how it's like groundhogs day where we improve all season and then stop for 9 months where we lose it all and then do it again.  Anyway, I'm teaching a power step class today, trying a new format. It's my birthday this weekend! I'm turning 50. Whew. I thought it would bother me some but I'm kind of looking forward to it. It's one thing to be in my 40's and be able to ski, do parkour, aerial silks, pull ups, tons of push ups but I feel like I'm kind of rocking to do all that at 50.  What are you all up to?

Realizing that this is one big pat myself on the back post. It's so unlike me!  Maybe that'll be the new me in my 50's.  Stop being so critical and enjoy.

Jean - have a wonderful birthday! My 50's have been the happiest time of my life, and I hope they are for you too. Karla, hope you have heat and lights! What did we do before cell phones? Gymrat, hope your errands wn't well. Aryl, I'm withnKrla, I like being exercise sore...makes me know I worked hard. Typical Thursday workout or me - 10 minute bike warmup, lifting for shoulders, bis, tris, abs, ran 2 miles in 27:09. I am watching the Olympics...wierd that they started before the opening ceremonies.

I should clarify that I have no home phone. I do have cell service. the problems are all ice related. Grrrr

Ugg! No phone or internet. I am posting from my phone so it will be brief. Jean YAY for you! Gym, I saw you got something published-congrats. Arryl- I love being workout related sore. Lol it makes me feel like I really did something.

I am going to hit the gym and just walk on the tread later. Chicken fried steak with taters and gravy for dinner :-)

I went last night and got me some cold weather gear for cross fit. I have used my yoga pants a few times when its been colder, but they just weren't cutting it, so I went and bought a pair of long leggings on clearance and a pair of gloves for when we do weights and rowing. I couldn't find a ear cover up, so I grabbed DH's hat today to cover my ears. I have a meeting at 10 and 2 and cross fit at lunch. I am still really sore, I feel like I am an 80 year old getting out of bed this morning, my calves and thighs ached!! but I know once I get passed this week I will be fine and the hurt will go away and I'll be in a good place. Not sure how my detox next week will do for my work outs, I'll have to take it day by day.

Jean, that is so awesome.  You are my hero!  And happy birthday! 

I've got a lot of running around today.  I have a doc appointment late this morning and then another doc appointment after that.  I'm going to go get my allergy shot and if I'm not too tired, hit Costco.  Planning to do elliptical today.  I think I'm starting to catch up on my rest.  We bought a new bed Monday and I'm so excited.  It arrives tomorrow.
