Slow recovery Monday

Aaaahhhh, I am going back to work after having two weeks off - 1 week of vacation and 1 week (actually 1.5) of recovery from the flu.  I am sssssssssoooooooooooo tired.  :(  I don't know how I am going to make it, but I have got to get back into the "swing."  It's been 1.5 weeks since I worked out, so I am contemplating, tomorrow, an early morning yoga class, since the class size is small, there is less chance of being around sick people?

I got 15 scrapbook pages completed this weekend.  Since I couldn't physically get off the couch, I did digital stuff on the puter.

What are you all up to?

I am feeling better... finally.  I'm still not better but I'm a lot better than I was.  I spent the weekend resting and watching a lot of TV.  I'm resting this morning and then going to work this afternoon (just one client).

The client that I posted here about recently emailed me over the weekend to say she wanted to take a break from training.  She indicated that she wanted to delay until such time that she could put in the effort necessary to get something out of our workouts.  It's a good decision on her part but it's bittersweet.  I am relieved but there's also the stress of temporarily (maybe?) losing another client.  She has a lot of prepaid sessions left which improves her chances of actually returning.

No workouts for me yet but the eating definitely needs to improve...  It's been sort of a free for all since being sick.  Very little sounded good so when something did, I ate it.

FSN, hope you are on the mend and don't forget to rest.

Fresh, Gym, glad to hear you are feeling better. We may have finally gotten all the viruses out of our family. It's been horrible passing from one to another.

It was 19 degrees this morning when I crawled out of bed. Ugg. I hate winter. They are saying near 70 by Friday then arctic air moving in. Just plain ole crazy if you ask me.

I've been going through mine and hubby's "important" papers for the past two weeks now and have found paycheck stubs and bank statements from the 90's. I can't believe I've let things pile up this long. We may actually be able to put stuff in our walk-in closet when I'm finished. ;-)

Glad people are feeling better. I had an annoying day..I worked too late to go to the gym, then managed to miss my tram stop...I knew I was in the wrong place, but wasn't sure if I was too soon or too late...I walked to where I thought the right stop would be, then back to a stop...not the one that was wrong..I am still not sure what I did because in the end, I took a taxi home...an hour of my life and 13 zloty I will never get back...but I am home...Karla, when we cleaned out my grandmothers house in the 70's, we found letters from the 50's thanking her for paying off bills from the 30's...she saved everything...my brother has a great system..every year on New Years Day he builds a fire in the fireplace and burns his financial records from seven years prior. When my mom used to stay with me in the winter, she always shredded my old stuff for me...the first year it took the whole month...but after that it was just a day or two...happy Monday everyone!

What am I up to...just trying to post!  Glad to hear you and GR are on the mend.  I had a weekend of great skiing weekend, two clients early this morning and a super long meeting at that resort spa I was talking about.  It sounds like it's going to be really nice and I'll be interested in seeing how it comes together. Some super high end people at the meeting and I felt like I was just in w/ the wrong crowd. Not a bad thing, just not my normal scene.  No wkrout for me today. I'm not sure how I'm going to manage it during ski season, although I could probably count skiing as a workot, especially skiing up the bunny slope as much as I do.  I find meetings far more exhausting than working out. I need a ski day, which I'll have tomorrow.

GR, glad you are feeling better.  It took 10 long days for me to get back.  Phew!  The only upside is that I lost weight, but it's probably just water.  :(

Karla, 70?!  My weather is similar to yours, so I expect we will be having indian summer, too?!  Yea!  It's sort of fun to have a break.

SJ, your experience reminds me of the time I was in London, when I was told that my  hotel was only a 10 minute walk from Harrod's.  As I became totally disoriented 30 minutes later, lost, and nowhere neare my hotel, I thought that I could be killed and dismembered, and noone would ever no what happened to me?!  Scarey.  Good thing you are safe...THAT is what matters.

Jean, I have a feeling you are good at playing poker, and you'll fit in no matter where you are.  It sounds like you are having a GREAT ski season and completely maxing it out.  Fun!

I am POOPED, on the couch.  I am trying a new pudding recipe with chia seeds.  I may try it for breakfast tomorrow as a high protein alternative to my usual fruit/nut bars that have way too much sugar.  Now that my weight is back down, I am determined to maintain it and not let the weight creep back up!  So I will try some new recipes.
