Stepping into Thursday

I'm teaching step today, have a few advice clients, teaching dance conditioning tonight. I'm missing my rowing class for it and we're just getting to rowing more.  I'm liking it more than I remembered, even. The weather is beautiful right now, it's nice to be out, getting a workout that's not pounding on my body.  I watch people who are real rowers and it looks beautiful.

Missed you guys yesterday!  Our internet went down Tuesday afternoon and we didn't get it back until late last night.

Jean, to answer your question... yes.  It hurt.  A lot.  Cool

FSN, the cocktail you posted about sounds delicious.  I picked up some Watermelon cucumber vodka last week and have yet to open it.  I also got some blood orange vodka too but haven't opened it either.

Happy, the conference sounds annoying.  I think any time you get a bunch of women together (especially in a professional setting), it starts to feel fake.

I've got one client this morning and then going to see the ENT.  Finished my antibiotics yesterday but still have 9 more days of prednisone (unless he releases me from it today).  Planning to do some type of cardio today but don't know what yet.  I might do yoga instead.  We'll see.  Not wearing shoes kind of limits things.

Good morning all. We finally got the tomatoes in yesterday and some flowers planted. Our June strawberries are already ripe and ready and we had our first batch with dinner last night.

Jean, we got great news about the small baby yesterday;she is still growing. She is right about 3.5 lbs now and they are pretty much expecting her to make it all the way now (about 6 weeks left). My daughter is at the doc this morning so hopefully her appointment is going well. She is due first week of July so I suppose we could reasonably expect a baby at any point now.

I plan on doing a weight circuit this afternoon as it is cool and rainy here today. I'm so glad we didn't procrastinate and got the yard work done yesterday.

I've been making watermelon cucumber juice lately. It never occurred to me to add vodka.... But then again, middle of the afternoon wouldn't be the best time for that anyway. I'd be passed out before dinner.

I've been so frustrated at work lately!  We have a new manager who can't keep the schedule straight. We've had too many clients who showed up and weren't on the schedule and today, I was supposed to have an earlier advice client but wasn't told. It looks sloppy overall, as an organization, and I don't want to point fingers when I'm w/ clients and say it's not my fault.  Ugh. I'm trying to figure out how the owner decided to hire this person, given the others who interviewed.

That's good to hear about the baby, Karla!  There's so much they can do once you get to a certain point.  Fingers crossed for you all.

Ugh.  My boss is really arrogant.  He kept saying, "It's all about me" in a "joking" manner throughout today's all-day meeting, but his actions say that he really believes that when he is with the 11 of us on his team.  It's gonna be a long year.   plus, some video clips he showed were so inappropriate, that if HR was there, he would have been severely reprimanded. Time will tell, but either he is really insensitive or he thinks I am a lousy employee, despite my recent award win.  :(. Oh well, control the controllables, and let the rest go.  I went Linedancing last night, and I was dripping with sweat...how embarrassing!  I really do sweat more than is usual.  :(. BUT, I had so much fun!  And I did some couples dancing with a new partner.  He was spinning me around the dance floor like I was a wind up top.  I LOVED it.  YEA!

FSN, perhaps you should make a call to HR...and tell them ALL about him...Jean, the number of incompetent people loose in the world is truly frightening. Gymrat, hope you got a good report at the Ent. Karla, fingers crossed in the babies....did I say that I am glad your shower was a success? I think I might have been shut out when you posted about it. I am going back to Krakow for a week, leaving tomorrow. I am excited to be going, but wondering how this will be for my 900/90 plan...because I am not passing in pastry, and I will be eating out which involves wine. My goal is tobe careful and controlled at breakfast and lunch, and to work out for 40 minutes minimum per day. Other people are going too so I will have to be a tour guide some of the time. I went to the gym tonight...lifting for shoulders, bis, tris, abs, ran 2 miles in27:11. I've been going earlier, which I like because I get out earlier, but I get there right on time or a few minutes late, so the bike warmup gets shortened. Or. Missed. Have to think about that...but not next week....

SJ, "things that make you go hhhhmmmmmm..." Jean, don't you dislike incompetent workers? KCarla, I can hardly wait for my garden tomatoes, too. Also how wonderful that the baby is still growing. Gym rat, let me know how those drinks work. I love having new summer drinks. SJ, have a wonderful time in Krakow!

I agree that fsn should report the manager to HR. It's when people look the other way that bad behavior is allowed to continue.  I did get that work resolution taken care of--the problem actually initiated w/ the advice clients.  It was so frustrating, though!

Have fun back in Krakow!  Do you know how long you're going to be there this time?
