Sunday morning Monday

After the storms last night, it sure seems like a beautiful morning. I have work today, physical therapy, and I take my daughter for an interview. It was an exhausting weekend, as well. I got all of the flowerpots planted, which are gorgeous, clean the house, did a lot of cooking, and worked out. I've got to get out the door, so I'll check back later. Have a great day.

I saw the Midwest got lots of storms.  We're approaching monsoon season and I'm looking forward to it.

I've got two clients today - one this morning and one this afternoon.  Also planning to do cardio.

I'm still on the emotional high wire - one minute I'm okay and the next I feel like I'm about to fall to my death.  I keep telling myself that this is a means to an end...  Being mentally healthy is hard enough without extra inference from another drug.  Bah.

So far this spring we haven't had a single tornado warning so I am loving this weather. It is supposed to be record breaking heat today and I can't wait to get out and sweat.

My daughter has to go to the hospital for some tests today (her baby is really large) so we are all excited. We got her bags packed and a cute outfit to bring the baby home in just in case. lol I am supposed to go order the cake today for her baby shower and I am wondering if I need to make it "Welcome to the world" cake in case the baby is at the shower.

I need to come up with gift ideas for the games. Have any of you been to a shower lately? What kind of gifts are people giving out?

Hope the pt is helping!  I had some early morning clients and then went to zumba.  Which I am doing way too much of these days.  I need to find a cardio workout. Oh, but starting June 1, I'll be rowing. Hopefully that'll be cardio enough.

How long did they say the ups and downs would last?  It's bad enough for me w/ hormones, I can't imagine it drug induced, too.  I also find it hard on days to stay peppy for clients sometimes.

Hope it goes well for your daughter!  I honestly hate baby shower games.  I don't get into the "see who can drink the bottle the fastest", "guess what type of baby food this is", "memorize all the baby stuff on the tray" games. Bah humbug.  The one I've done is "How well do you know zzzz?"  I put together questions like, "Xxxxx need take out. What is she most likely to order a) Chinese, b) pizza. etc.  So the mother to be answers and people get points on how many answers they get right. It can be pretty funny w/ the right questions.

They didn't. :( As I'm on the final strength, I'm hoping things even out here shortly. I know what you mean about being "on" for work. Sometimes though, it's a blessing in disguise. On those days I'm feeling pretty depressed, it actually helps to go to work and fake it. I often feel better afterward.

We had very warm weather today. It rained while I was at the gym, but stopped before I came out. Karla, I have never played games at a shower...the mom to be opened presents, we ate, we left....if the baby is there, that adds to the entertainment. Maybe we are boring in New England, or maybe its just my family. Jean, rowing sounds fun. Gymrat, drugs sound not fun. FSN, hope your daughter has a door interview and gets a job. My nephew should be looking or a job, but I've stopped asking if he found one....I see a lot of 'help wanted' signs on sutures so I know people are hiring. I has a good weekend, had my hair cut and colored -a little more blond for the summer, and cooked dinner for my younger brother and his fiancé. Also wn't o Zumba Saturday but did nothing Sunday. This interfered with my 900 calorie deficit per day for 90 days' plan as I both didn't work out and ate more (and had wine). However I still ate less than I used, if you believe Fitday...today was typical Monday bike for 14 minutes, lifting for chest, back, abs, ran 1 mile in 12:43 - I am babysitting a work project tha cused me to cut my running short, but I ran hard and fast in the time I had....

At the risk of sounding like "what's the matter with kids these days", my son didn't look for a job, either. I remember starting far earlier than spring to look for a summer job.  Luckily, I was complaining about it on FB and the person who runs the parkour gym offered him a summer job. I told him he's lucky--what other mom would find their kids a job as a ninja trainer?

I am younger than all of you and I'm going to say this... Summer job?  What happened to working year round?  As soon as it was legal for me to work, I did and I was employed through graduation (high school).

(Get off my lawn. Cool)
