Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy... Ahhh! I feel so good it is scary. My daughter and I went to the lake last night after doing a weight circuit and walked several miles around it. It was absolutely glorious. We are going to have another beautiful day today and then thunderstorms will set in. I do like a good thunderstorm as long as hail and tornadoes aren't included.

I am going to buy this for my daughter for the baby shower: http://www.armsreach.com/shop-3/the-mini-6/ I slept with all my kids and she plans to sleep with hers so I thought it was a great idea. I would have loved to have had something like that. I haven't decided what to get my daughter-in-law yet. I am still waiting to see if she is going to have a full term baby or not. If she has another preemie, she'll need a gas card and restaurant GCs as her baby will be in a city quite a drive away from here.

I need new workout clothes! I've decided my tshirts are getting a bit ratty. Just cardio for me tonight.

Sunshine?! We are having thunderstorms, rain, and all-around gloomy weather here. :(. That crib looks amazing! What a nice mother you are! I slept with child #2, because it helped me get more sleep since I was nursing. I didn't intend on doing that, but that sleep deprivation was killing me, and it was just a function of daily survival! How exciting! Jean, have you thought of talking to the Equinox manager to see if you can bargain with him, somehow? After all, seeing someone so fit in their gym might be an added plus...and if they are hurting for membership fees, and you know that your visits are so limited, perhaps they would do a $50/month exception since that is more than zero? Just a thought. Gymrat, how wonderful that your sinuses are draining! Just a thought, but perhaps your mood could be tied to the dust in the air -- when I have any immune response (e.g., allergies), I often feel like I have a virus or flu...I just feel run down which is a seasonal annoyance. And, yes, I am sure their are cat whisperer s as there are for dogs. My trainer is AWESoME, and I owe so much of my dogs good nature to that trainer! SJ, I am so envious of your 60 laps in the pool. I see a chiropractor this week, and I am thinking about seeing a different orthopedic surgeon to try to get to the bottom of my shoulder pain. :( I am thinking of doing a "cleanse"...nothing too extreme, except that I would be reducing and/or eliminating caffeine s (argh?!), gluten, animal products (including eggs and dairy), sugar (and artificial sugar), and alcohol for 3weeks. (Sigh). There is a group at the gym, lead by a nutritionist who start on Sunday. Although I won't be 100%, especially since I will be on a week long business trip net week, I am intrigued in "changing it up" and trying something new...especially since I know that the caffeine is wreaking havoc on my blood sugar response...I can just feel it. I am so excited for my trip next week. I have never been to Nashville, and I am looking forward to Linedancing at Wild Horse! Oh! And it seems that I am losing weight with whatever it is that I am doing because my pants are too big...dh is calling me "baggy pants"...he also said he can see definition in my abs! :O. Go figure...all those years that I wanted that, and, now, when HEALTH is the focus, and NOT the weight/AB definition, I am getting that outcome. Well, we will see how long this lasts. :O B leftover salad - romaine, arugula, apples, raisins, bleu cheese, rye toast, coffee, green smoothie S ww toast, fried egg (pre workout meal) L yoga. I know...haha S chopped salad D. Don't know...I may or may not be Linedancing tonight. :). Last week, I ate chicken wings and white rice, c/o my dance partner's menu selection. It was SO good...a treat I would seldom, if ever, eat on my own!

There is the tiniest hint here that spring might be coming...I have to say I have never slept with babies or taken care of cats...I can't even keep African violets alive...I went to the gym - 22 minute bike warm up, lifting for legs, abs, swam 60 laps. Jean - I think you should try one class at equinox a week for a month to see if it is as good as you hope.for everyone else - I got nothing...have a great day!

My friends keep suggesting kitty whisperers (or that guy from the show My Cat From Hell).  Thing is, sometimes it works and it's okay.  But it's not enough consistency to allow me to feel comfortable about leaving.  The location of this past weekend's getaway was largely decided by the proximity to my house.  If both DH and I went to the local event and/or BM (which are much further away and have little or no cell servce), I think I'd be a ball of worry just waiting for the call that one of us has to leave.  At least whoever goes can have the peace of mind that kitty is being taken care of.

Last week I felt amazing.  This week, not as much.  We had super high winds yesterday and I think it kicked up some stuff in the air.  There's a lot of drainage but the good news is that it's draining.  My sinuses are functioning as they should.  This is probably the point pre-surgery where things would start to collect and get infected.

Sorry about kitty.  It's almost like having a child!  Dealing w/ that is enough to put anyone in a pissy mood.  There must be someone who is a kitty whisperer in your area?

How are you feeling now, a couple of weeks out post surgery?

Morning.  I had a great weekend away but the kitty sitter was a complete fail.  DH had to come home Friday morning.  So, that's it.  We have brainstormed and brainstormed to try to make this work and it's just not going to happen.  I'm trying to accept that DH and I just cannot travel together until we don't have kitty anymore.  This also means a radical shift in summer plans.  DH is going to go to the regional event by himself next month and I will to BM in August.

I was in a really terrible mood yesterday (which is why I didn't post) and it's better but still there today.  Just feeling all-around pissy.  I've got my last surgery follow-up this morning.  Planning to do cardio too.  I was going to do some intervals but I think it's going to be steady state.  I think if I attempt something too difficult, I will just stop.

The weather is beautiful here, too! I love this weather.  I love the bassinet co-sleeper. We co-slept w/ our babies, too. It made the night feedings so easy!  Ours were before the warnings that it's dangerous but honestly, I'm such a light sleeper that I don't think it was ever a problem for us. But, the bassinet is a great idea for those who worry.

I did zumba and boot camp last night. I'm highly critical of classes like that because I know what I'd do differently but why do they always emphasize so many push ups and crunches and no lower or upper back?  That's why so many meathead trainers look like hunched over cro-magnon man.  That hunched over look is so 40,000 years ago...Tongue Out  And, really, 3 minutes of burpees. 4 minutes of jumping rope, 4 minutes of plank just shows a complete lack of creativity for the instructor.  I think I'll try out Equinox and see if their boot camp type class is different.

I'm taking today to clean the house, do gardening.  During ski season, it all falls apart so I just need a massive overhaul.  I don't think I'll get it all done today, though.
