Can you imagine losing your home and everything in it? I feel so badly for the people in Washington County, Illinois. The sister of a man I work with lives in the developments down the way from the people who lost everything. Thankfully, she is okay as is her home, but it's a very sobering thought to think of what a person would have to deal with after tornado. My shoulder is killing me today, after working on an eight hour expense report and writing out thank you cards for my party. I am thinking that a massage And the injections into my shoulder would be welcome events today. However, I have a 10 of work followed by a dentist appointment and dog training tonight. Yesterday, I was sore from yoga, so I opted out of an additional yoga class. I got my clothes closet all straightened out, and traded out my summer T-shirts for my winter T-shirts and sweaters. I really should throw out more clothes, as I start to feel like a pack rat. Oh, and I signed up for two art  classes through Groupon. My groupons are piling up and I need to use them all!

What are you all up to?

FSN, I can't imagine losing everything.  Every time something like this happens, my husband and I discuss it.  I say how awful I would feel if we lost our house and he says that as long as we're okay, it wouldn't be a big deal.  To me, it would be a huge deal.  My home is kind of like an extension of me.  Fun on the art classes!  Any particular kind?

It's a Mondays...  today is one of those unfortunate times to be a freelancer.  All of my jobs are finished so I need to apply for new ones but I just don't feel like it.  I've been having a heck of a time getting motivated.  I'm stil having sinus/allergy stuff so I know that's affecting my energy levels.  My Monday client is away so no training today.  I think I'm going to do a strength training workout.  I think.

Fresh, I once lost my home and everything in it to a fire. Thankfully my husband and I were young and just had one child at the time. All we had after the fire were the clothes on our back and my car. The Red Cross and a local church helped us out tremendously. I hope your friends are getting some help because we wouldn't have made it without the generosity of others.

As we sat in our home through two tornadoes last night we kept hearing about all the damage in nearby towns. It was really scary. I can't imagine how utterly horrifying it must be to be in your home as it is being ripped to shreds. I pray to God I never find out first hand! Thankfully we have no damage.

I did cross-fit yesterday morning because it was raining too hard to get out and run. I am a bit sore today so I am just planning a relaxing jog this afternoon.

I think I am going to make quiche for dinner.

I would think sitting through tornadoes counts as a workout, no?  Wink

I get them from a number of places.  There is one particular freelance site that that I use and I am on several aggregate mailing lists that send me job listings everyday.

I've been having new login problems recently.  I have some sentimental things, of the kids projects and pictures but other than that, I'm not attached to any of the other material goods I have. It must be earth shattering to live through all that, though.  It's more the trauma of having life change in an instant.

I went to a conditioning class at the parkour gym today.I've done it before and was not crazy about it. The guy is into power lifting and I'm just not...at all.  I really think there's no benefit to lifitng a max, other than ego.  They also have very different theories of working w/ injured body parts and believe that more is better.  Ummm, talking to an orthopedic surgeon, he said that women will baby their aches and end up w/ things like frozen shoulder. Men do the opposite where they go harder and harder until they tear it.  I'm not wanting to be in the latter group!  I feel really out of shape as cardio goes and think I'm going to start going to Insanity classes at the gym I never go to.  I hate this feeling of not being in top cardio shape.
