Third time is a charm Wednesday

It took me three times of logging in and maneuvering to get on the board this morning.  :O. I am completely sore from all of the yoga, so I am taking a rest day today.  I wish I could find a consistent linedance partner, because I would so be going tonight.  :(. I'll settle on trying to get the baby quilt done that I started.

work today, trying to bear the cold!  I am supposed to have lunch with a girlfriend today, but I think it will be cancelled because she is down about losing her job...so many layoffs...so sad.  :(

what are you all up to?  Where is Jean?  Karla, are you holding it together?  GR, is your surgery scheduled earlier?  SJ, what's on your list for your final days in Poland?

Hey Fresh, I'm doing okay. FIL seems to have taken a turn for the worse so I am about to head over there to see what is happening. If he appears to be stable enough I am going to try to fit in a cross-fit class tonight. We are expecting an ice storm tomorrow and if we get it, everything will be shut down for days here.

I had to take my mother to the library for computer classes (it's for seniors) so while I was there I downloaded a few apps for my phone and grabbed a few new books.

We had a scare last night about my pregnant daughter thinking maybe she was in labor too early but it turns out she is carrying him really low and he was pinching a nerve. They showed her some positions (looked like cat and cow) to try to get him to move if it happens again. I think we are hyper-sensitive about things after what happened with my granddaughter that we don't want to go through something like that again so we all panicked.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

My family has come and gone...they had a whirlwind tour of Krakow...the Main Square, castle, underground museum, nativity scene exhibit, Schindlers Dactory, salt mine, Auschwitz...a lot to absorb in five days. Everything went perfectly...we had great meals and even though the apartment is small, we managed well...I am glad I am going home soon or saying goodbye would be really hard..I am going to try to do all the things. I haven't done plus go to the places I most liked in the. Last week. My department is taking me out on friday and a smaller group one night next week. I am sure I will be crying before this is over...Karla, hang in there...FSN, I wish I lived near enough Togo line dancing. Gymrat hoping your surgery date comes soon. I hope Jean isn't swinging from her silks and too busy to post...I went to the gym tonight - 20 minute run and lifting for chest and back with some abs thrown in...

Hey there! I've been skiing! I teach on Tuesdays and was there for the long weekend so I stayed up until yesterday. The big kink was my son had to be at tennis try outs on Monday morning so I drove home late Sunday night and back Monday early morning.  I'm getting wiped out w/ the schedule but I'll be sad when ski season is over.  Today is my day off but I had a few clients early this morning. I'm going to see how this all goes after ski season but I'm getting kind of burned out w/ my training. I like it when I'm there but dread it as I get ready to go.

It took me a few times to log in, too.  Getting more frustrating. Are they working on it, Karla?

Glad to hear your FIL is more stable.  Good luck with your daughter!  How far along is she now? It's always smart to be on the safe side.

I can't believe your time there is coming to an end so soon!  It seems like you've squeezed in a lot of sight seeing/absorbing being there in your time abroad. Have you made a decision about your trainer and what you'll do when you get back?  It seems like you're motivated enough to keep going on your own.

sj I would love to visit there some day. Will you ever go back? Jean, they are working on things. Everyone knows about the log in problems some are having and they will get it fixed. I don't have any other info or I would let you know. I know I am glad to see our group is still here so thanks everyone.

Made it here late but I am here.  My surgery was rescheduled for next Friday - YAY.  I'm so excited.  You'd think I was getting a boob job or something.  This was one of those occasions where it pays to know the surgeon.  The surgery coordinator was a bit snippy that I went over her head but oh well.

It turned out be a more eventful day than planned.  I had one client and then had to go to the radiology place to re-do the CT scan so it is coded correctly for the machine the surgeon will use.  They forcasted rain today which turned into a freak hail and snow storm (see pics on FB).  The road to my house is quite hilly and my car couldn't make it up the first hill.  I was at a loss about what to do.  I literally cannot remember the last time I drove in snow.  I called DH and he hopped in his truck to come get me.  His truck got stuck too so we put both cars in reverse and parked them at the bottom of the hill.  We walked home which was super cold (I was wearing workout pants) but he had the foresight to bring an extra coat for me in case we got stuck.  It was so bizarre.

What is the recovery for the surgery?

So weird about the freak snowstorm!  People in this area are bad enough in the snow, I can't imagine your area.  I must have missed the pictures. I'll go check it out.  I can't believe you're getting snow and we haven't!

The doc thinks no more than a week so I've taken a week off.

And the snowstorm, I know.  It was extremely surreal.
