I feel like my life is so frenetic these days w/ skiing and everything else we have going on. I still have't planned spring break which means it's going to be a driving distance trip.  Flights are $750-800 to Utah, Ca and OR so no skiing out west.  Why am I so bad at planning???  I also need to get started on summer since this is the last one before my son leaves for college.  Although, he should be back every summer so it's not that big of a deal, I guess.

I'm teaching step this morning and dancer conditioning tonight. It's funny I've been taking it easy on the dancers and last week, they come in and ask for a lot of abs. We spent most of the class doing core and they were great.  They loved being sore the next day, too. Don't underestimate kids!

I was supposed to work this afternoon but it was cancelled.  I'm planning to do a strength workout and test (again) the yoga app that my friend and I created.  My car is a little less than a mile from my house so I'll have to go get that at some point today. My husband's truck too...  I'll probably do some more organizing.  I like to have things a certain way before I have surgery.  Yay OCD....  ;)

Good Thursday everyone. I never made it to the nursing home yesterday. They called me to tell me FIL was being treated for some virus and since I knew I was keeping my granddaughter today and tomorrow I decided I didn't want to take a chance with germs if a virus is going around that place. Apparently he is very sick but they said it appears it is something he can recover from.

I did a cross-fit class yesterday that was quite the challenge. I love the class. It amazes me now how many people show up for each class and the levels run from brand spanking new to very advanced. We have one little group in the class that are state troopers and right beside them is usually the older, overweight women. Everyone helps each other and encourages each other and you leave the class with a feeling of victory.

I have a lot of chores and paperwork (bills) to take care of today and if I get to the gym at all I am going to jog a few miles today on the tread. We are expecting freezing rain this evening so it isn't looking likely that I'll get there.

Jean, you have definitely taken advantage of ski season. It sounds like so much fun! What ideas do you have for summer vacation? GR, hooray on getting the surgery pushed up. Your persistence has paid off regarding the timing AND finding a solution to your ongoing sinus issues! K, that is logical to stay away from the virus. I am waiting for the nursing home to open back up so my dog can be therapy dog certified. It's shut down to us because of a flu outbreak which I do not want to be around! So, dh wants to buy a sports car which would be so much fun for the summer!!!! However, I am envisioning some conflicts with him letting dss drive it...not too happy about that, but I suppose I need to "let go" a bit. I guess I just have issues with a teenager who is disrespectful...it's the tiger mom in me...and dh is NOT a tiger mom. :( Work, possibly spin and yin yoga tonight. I bought another fabric for a one block wonder quilt, as I await the next class where I learn to finish the OBO quilt I started. I really should finish the other quilts I have pieced together, too. I'm a bit ADD with the finishing of my quilts.

I would love to go to Iceland or Alaska. It's supposed to be a great year to see the aurora borealis. The problem is my son has to have his wisdom teeth out, my daughter wants to do a three week dance intensive at the University of South Carolina in July and we don't know what school my son will be going to yet. A few of them have freshmen orientation early August so that makes it hard to plan.  Maybe end of June would be good but I'd like more time than a week.

If it's your husband's sports car, then I'd think it's his rule on dss using it.  OTOH, why are you denying yourself a massage based on the cost while your husband is getting a sports car?  Hmmmm, I think your health needs to be a higher priority in your life!  I could never quilt because I'd have a bunch of unfinished ones I started around the house!

I am replying to the end of yesterday's thread too. .Gymrat - I thought of you when I saw that it had snowed in Arizona...the whole world has officially gone mad. Your 'boob job' comment made me laugh out loud. And I am glad for you that your surgery is soon. Jean - how about Krakow? It is beautiful here...hotel and food and museums are cheap...airfare maybe not so much...I am leaving here with the idea that iwillbe back. No one is coming immediately to replace me, and I have said I will do a week every six if they need me to. It willbe too hard to say good bye if I think it is goodbye forever...I am going to go back to my trainer. I really miss working out with him...the variety and the encouragement. I know iam not working out as hard by myself, and I want that intensity. Karla - good choice on the nursing home avoidance. You are definitely. In the sandwich part of life...FSN - don't take this the wrong way, but your husband reminds me of why I am not married...he seems to have a need for a new toy every year! I am sure he has many fine qualities but I think he would exhaust me...I went tothe gym tonight...11. Minutes on bike, lifting for legs, a little abs..
