Thursday chills

Although it's warming up outside, I am freezing.  I seem to have a fever that comes and goes.  I think I am going in today, just to be safe.  I dunno.  I'll get ready for the day and see how I feel.  When I first woke up, I felt great, but I am already starting to "slump".  :(

no workout today.  Only if I force myself will I go to work and then take the pup for some training.  I'd rather vegg on the couch, though

It sounds like you need that rest!  Can someone else take the pup for training? I'm thinking those in the class might be happy that you didn't go.  It really bothers me to stand next to someone who is sick and doesn't need to be there.  I've been dealing w/ sick clients and I feel like telling them just to go home!  I need to bring my kids in to get the flu shot. I've heard it's really bad this year.  My client told me I should be getting a flu shot, not for me, but to make sure I'm not a carrier and pass it on to my clients.  Hmmm, I hadn't thought of it that way but I'm not sure if it's true.

I'm teaching step this morning, have dancer conditioning this evening. I've decided it's better here to keep the window open and never log off so I don't have to sign in repeatedly. Yesterday, it was over a dozen times.  Okay, I'm trying to post and having problems. If this post shows up repeatedly, it's not me!

FSN, I definitely think it's time you see a doc.  You've had this illness for a long time and I've heard of folks who can't seem to shake it and end up with walking pneumonia.

Jean, if you're going to do shots for your kids or yourself, you ought to do them ASAP.  Apparently, the shot is a good match for the flu this year.  (Not that it helped me! :P)

The flu has been a top story on the news.  It's a really bad one this year (and I can personally attest to that).  I don't have much in the way of symptoms at this point.  Mainly, it's just a fatigue.  I am trying to still do a decent amount of resting.  I've got one client this afternoon and then a massage.  I'm planning to do a moderate elliptical workout this morning.  I haven't worked out in nearly a week and a half.

No idea on food.  We don't have a whole lot and I haven't been able to get to my favorite grocery store for fruits/veggies.  My eating has been much better this week.  I need to moderate this weekend though as we've got plans all weekend.

Aww Fresh, I am worried about you. Maybe you should check in with the doc. You've been sick for a while now and you might need meds.

Jean, my town has a tent set up outside the hospital for triage for flu patients. I have never in my life seen anything like it. Rumors started flying last night about the tent and sure enough, it's there. My husband and daughter both work with the public and I am really glad they both got shots early on. As far as being able to pass the flu around, my granddaughter's ped asked the whole family to get one to keep from passing it to her. She has scarred lungs and the flu is not something that would bode well for her.

I am hoping you keep the flu in the US..but that you all get better and stay well. It was an act of sheer will to go to the gym tonight, but I did it. Ten minute bike warmup, lifting for shoulders, bis, tris...abs on a bench. My nephew is coming tomorrow for five days. I have good ideas for daytime but the nights might be boring...even on weekends I don't go out at night much. Maybe we'll go out on Sunday to watch football some where. Any way, if I am missing, now you know where I will be. Have a good weekend everyone. Drink oh. Rest. Take vitamins...

Yes, I have an appointment with my doc tomorrow morSince since he is not in the office (hospital rounds?) today.  I haven't been this tired since I had pneumonia, and this doesn't seem to be going away.  :(. I HATE being sick.  We shall see what the verdict is t

I can't find the flu shot anywhere! Maybe I'll have to hope that everyone else has gotten it and won't be spreading it. I'll keep looking. It's probably because it's been the top news story.

Have a good time with your nephew! It's great that he's able to visit you.

I'd definitely get a flu shot if I were taking care of, or often near a person who had a compromised immune system. But, even if you have the flu shot, you can still get it so it pays to be careful--even though I've read that you're most contagious before you show symptoms.

Try drugstores... Walgreens, CVS, etc. My mom's doc was out of it too but the drugstore had plenty. I've heard there is not a shortage so you should be able to find it with a little persistence.
