So the sad thing is I maintained a lower weight in Costa Rica and now that I'm back, bam, I'm at the higher weight again.  I need to get busy so I can stop snacking. It's tough being at home in the afternoons. I'm teaching step this mornig and need to get practicing on the routine.  Love the class but it's so much more work than a boot camp!  I'm wondering if I should switch it to Insanity or something like that.  What are you all up to?  Any plans for the long weekend?

My abs are screaming after doing some killer yoga poses!  I Walsh didn't get home until midnight since I "danced the night away," teaching my friend new dances...so much fun

! The weight issue seems to get harder harder for me time goes by. It takes so much more disciplined now, but I am determined. So, I think I may go visit my mom and daughter again this weekend. I do not look forward to the drive, but I may "suck it up, "as I realize that time it's not on my side. How about you? Any plans? I think I'm going to walk the dog tonight, at the pet store where I do training. It's just too hot outside to be outside. Or maybe I'll get a workout in the gym.

It's supposed to be a bad commute weekend w/ vacations but it would be great if you could see your mom and daugther.  How far of a drive is it w/out traffic?  We're redoing my son's room for my daughter. I'll also try to get in more parkour/aerial silks/obstacle course traiing/running. It just ccurred to me that my obstacle course race is less than a month away.  I'm going to change my membership to the parkour gym to unlimited, instead of a punch pass.  I'm thinking of dropping a gym membership, but it's only $28 a month and I'll never get into such a good deal again.  But, I rarely go to that gym and I have access to far too many workout facilities--two gyms, the dance studio w/ classes, two corporate fitness facilities, the parkour gym, zumba and of course, the great outdoors.  And, once ski season starts, I'll be doing that at least three times a week.

I'm thankful I don't struggle with weight but I do struggle with my "shape". My waistline gets sloppier looking all the time. I really have increased abs but I think I am fighting a losing battle.

I have just recently discovered Insanity and I'm really enjoying it. It has been a long time since I've sweated like I do in that class. lol I want to try to add in a Yoga class but they have class so late in the evenings that it doesn't fit my plans. I keep hoping they will get a morning or early afternoon class at some point.

I will be working this weekend so no big plans.

I'm trying to decide if I want to do that Warrior Dash. I have to get registered soon and get a hotel room if I do it.

The weight gain around the waist is my biggest problem--that middle aged pouch. At the same weight, my pants are feeling tight.:-(  Ad, at 5' tall, it looks extra bad, like I'm pregnant.

BTW, I took the practice test for the Corrective Exercise Specialist but it bumped me right over to the real test so I took it and passed. I know I get overly nervous about stuff like that but I'm so glad to get that over with!  IT's also nice to have a much higher level cert behind my name as a personal trainer. It puts me on another level.

Hi ladies....Ivillage seems to like me tonight so I am stopping by...I've tried a few other times but my IPad totally locked up....I've had a great August. I am mostly just working in the mornings, and have spent a lot f time on the Cape, although I've gone back to Boston to lift with my trainer each week. Lots of good Zumba here on the Cape, and I am working on being able torun a mile without stopping...which I accomplished today! Karla, sorry for all your tooth issues. Jean, FSN, hugs on sending your kids to school...I know Gymrat is at that great American camp out....I hope that whatever is working tonight keeps working because I am gearing up for buckling down in September...

Welcome back, SJ. We missed you. But having a great end of summer on the Cape. Sounds wonderful. Jean, I hate my abdomen so "Swollen. "My line dance from lunch to feed me bad food such as fried food, Chito's, desserts... I feel and look bloated, as well.
