Eegads, it's cold out there!  I snowblowed the BLOWING snow, and I can't wait to get out of here!  I have so much to do before we leave early in the morning, but, again, this is a first world problem.  I missed my workout yesterday, but got in a doctors appointment, work, massage, mani-pedi, and spray tan.  Today was early morning yoga, lots of work, packing, driving dh around (his car got towed in yesterday for an ignition that needs replacing), and PACKING.

I am going to have some fun!!!  :D

We got way more snow than what was forcast and it is a mess here. My sons best friend is in a pile-up that has shut down the interstate in this part of Indiana. The friend is fine but others aren't. My 65 year old neighbor went down an embankment a few blocks from our house and his car is in a ditch. Another neighbor was able to get over there in his jeep and help him get home. They can't get his car out until a tow truck and make it into this area. Ugg  It is 14 degrees and I was out trying to dig my husband's car out of the driveway. I got it to where he could get out and a snow plow pushed through and left a mound of snow at the end of my driveway! Why the heck do we need the roads plowed if we can 't even get out of the driveway?! I had to go in and warm up then go back out and shovel part of the road so he could get out of the driveway. I am going to have to wait until one of my sons can get over here to get the rest and help me with my mother's house. They are saying this isn't going to melt any time soon. Oh I HATE winter!

Needless to say, I got my workout this morning. I spent hours shoveling heavy snow. I am going to sit around and read the rest of the day.

Fresh, I wish I was going to Florida with you.

FSN, have a super awesome time on vacation.  And whatever doesn't get done before you leave just doesn't get done.  It will all work out.

Arryl, yay on the Crossfit class!

Karla, oh I remember the snow plowing that cleared the streets the blocked everyone's cars in.  That was always so frustrating.  Would this be a bad time to mention that I had the AIR CONDITIONING on in the car today?

Seriously, it was warm out today.  A/C is January is no bueno.  I'm not ready for that.  It has been a nutty day... trying to get projects done, meet deadlines, make clients happy.  So far, I'm keeping up.  The bad news is that I've started to feel somewhat sick again.  I had gotten a just-in-case prescription from my doctor in the event that I got sick in Santa Fe next week so I started it today.  Boo hiss.  Ah well.  If I have to keep taking these suckers to feel decently until all of the allergy shots and magic injections kick in, so be it.

I got in strength training this morning and spent the afternoon with OP shopping for clothes.  Can I just say that I hate Target?  IMO, it's as expensive as a department store.  And their idea of "clearance" is laughable.  I suppose I am a bargain shopper, through and through.  Give me a thrift store or Ross any day of the week.

Yes, cold and snow here in Boston. We got surprise snow on Saturday...the tv weatherman said 'even I was surprised that it snowed today'. I am someone who likes to have a plan for the week, and the snow plus ome other things has me way off schedule....which makes me feel stressed....even when the sponteous changes are fun, I an still a little off kilter...I did no cooking these weekend so I had penut butter on an English muffin and hot chocolate for upper. I am lucky because the only thing that has to be shoveled is the sidewalk in front of the building, and I think I've done it three times in ten years..my downstairs neighbor takes car of it for us. But walking is an adventure...I will most likely work from home tomorrow...so lucky again! FSN, have a wonderful time in Florida. aryl, that is awesome about Crossfit - I bet there was a big financial benefit to them finding a new, nearby place because it sounds popular. GR, I hope the meds kick in quick. Karla, I am in the 'I hate winter' club. We had the legendary 'Blizzard of 78' when people were trapped in their cars on major highways for days. I was working as a waitress at an ice cream shop in downtown Boston, and was able to walk to work - we sold just about everything we had in stock. The most surreal experience of my life was looking out the window and watching the army trucks roll down Tremont Street - troops and equipment flown in from Fort Bragg to help dig out after three or four days...they were the only vehicles allowed on the road...I figure I will never see a weather event as big as that again...hope not anyway. I made my way to the gym in the snow. 6 mi ute bike warmup, lifting for chest/back, abs, ran 2 miles in 27:43 - I played a little with incline tonight...made me think of Jean skiing uphill....can't wait until she starts saying'ski season is ending'. Sorry, Jean!
