While I am grateful to be back to same 'ole same 'ole after the holidays, it's a bit tough to get back into workouts and healthy eating.  My parents left this morning.  My mom and I had a good time but there were times during their visit where I wonder how my stepdad hasn't killed her yet.  There were also times when it just seemed inconceivable that we are related.  :)

I did an elliptical workout this morning.  Still keeping it low key as I'm still recovering.  I think the antibiotics are working but there is definitely still "stuff" going on.  I've got two clients today and then spending the afternoon with OP.  I think I need some mental as well as physical rest after all that.

Breakfast: yogurt, honey, granola

Snack: edamame

Lunch: spicy lentil wrap

Dinner: miracle noodle dish

Well ladies, I am in Poland!  I haven't worked out since the day before Thanksgiving, partly in a hope that whatever is making my middle hurt would heal (it didn't) and partly due to sheer inertia.  The amount of stuff I packed was unbelievable, and the suitcases were very heavy, but I made it to the apartment safe and sound.  The apartment is cute but small...I am moving to a bigger one in ten days...I was exhausted when I got here..I should have gone out and walked around but instead I laid on the couch and attended conference calls for work.  I am near the Market Square and a mall, although I am not sure which is in what direction.  I went out to get dinner and found a grocery store before I ound a restaurant, so I went in.  The produce isn't great, and I couldn't find cans of soup, only packages, but I bought bread, cheese, yogurt, and some pasta salad (and cookies) and that makes dinner...I am not really hungry although I can always eat carbs....

I think I am sick.  I worked for most of the day, and then came home...emergen-c, netipot, and cider vinegar gargling didn't make me feel better.  :(. I have been through so much in the last couple weeks, that perhaps my body/immune system finally gave out.  At least it was AFTER my early morning yoga workout.  ;)

gymrat, you deserve a medal.  Mothers living with daughters can be a mix made in hxxxxxx.  SJ, I hope you find time to have fun, relax a bit (?), meet some locals, AND be productive with work!  Enjoy.  It sounds like quite an opportunity.  Moving, though, sounds stressful...at least your company is flexible!

ok, back to rest...perhaps tea with honey.

Glad you survived the mom visit. I wonder if my daughter will be saying that about me one day... Ha, she's probably already saying that now. I hate teen girl drama/being self-absorbed.  Ugh, you've been sick an awful long time.  This is like one of those mystery diagnosis things.

I had the day off which was so nice.  I went to kickboxing class. I can't remember it being this boring.  The instructor was fine so it's probably me. I did some pull up/leg raises after.  I'm still not loving the new gym but it's okay.  There are just so many people.  It's getting cold here and I"m ready to curl up under a fuzzy blanket for the winter. Well, except that ski season is around the corner....

Hope you get over it quickly!  Maybe it's a sign to take it easy.

Have they tried treating you with any kind of steroid treatments yet? My sister has had some kind of crud for weeks and weeks and finally they put her on a round of steriods. She met me at the gym tonight and was finally able to get through a workout without hacking up half a lung.

I'm just wondering if something like that will work for you.

SJ-that is so beyond exciting. Hubby and I are watching this very long series which includes scenes from Poland and I can't imagine how neat it must be to actually be there. I would love to see your pics some day!

Oh ick Fresh. My throat got scratchy a few nights last week and I was worried it was something but never really got worse so I'm thinking it was allergies. I hope that is all you are dealing with.
