I've got a LOVELY day ahead of me of appointments... laser, counseling, CT sinus scan and mammogram.  I'm going to be in an awesome mood when I get home.  I did 40 minutes on the elliptical this morning.

What are you all up to?

lol I am not jealous for sure. It is absolutely beautiful weather here today so I am going to try to get to the park with my sister to walk this evening. The creep still hasn't been caught so I don't want to go alone.

I'm going to try to get a hair appointment for today or tomorrow. I think my hair is getting too long and is dragging my face down. When I get to the point where I wear it pinned up every day, I know I need to get some maintenance.

I need to get a new stability ball. It mysteriously started losing air around the same time my nephew was playing with it. He didn't do anything at all to it though according to him. Hmmmm.....

It has been my experience that children + physio balls = flat balls.

Umm... errr...  That may have come out wrong.  Cool  Jean?  Where are you?  It's uncomfortable being the only resident pervert around.

I'm back! I had the best time in Costa Rica. it went by so quickly, it's like a dream.  It's such an action packed country from horseback riding, ziplining, hikes, surfing, waterfall repelling, etc.  I think the only thing I wanted to do that we didn't get to is bungee jumping. That'll have to wait.  One thing I've realized is that when we travel abroad, I don't gain weight the way I do in the US and realized it's all portion sizes.  Other countries have much more realistic plate/portion sizes. Meat is actually the size of your palm, maybe a little bigger if you're in a super touristy area but much smaller than the humungous meats we get here.  It is a starch heavy diet and fresh vegetables aren't as common but the fruit is unbelievable.  It's so hard coming off vacation mode.

I'm supposed to row today but this is the last week and I've decided I'm not going to keep it up. It's all just way too regimented for me, from what it is to how often it is. I need more flexibility. It's too bad because I enjoy being on the water but I want to do what I want, when I want.  Having to follow someone's movement, exactly, is okay for about 2 minutes.  It's also bringing back the reason why I quit doing it in college.

Hope you get some resolution from your tests, GR!  It's dragged on for far too long. Do you ever watch Mystery Diagnosis?  When someone has all those odd symptoms and it turns out to be something really stupid/silly?  Hope that's all it is.

I've missed so much not being here! I'll try to catch up, but what creep?

My hair is the same as yours sounds. I haven't had it cut since Dec, I'll confess.  Maybe the next couple of weeks I'll go in.

Kids and physio balls are fun. I have the girls at the dance studio hold the balls in front of their bodies (ballast balls w/ sand) and play bumper cars. Try to hit each other, etc.  Or they hold the balls overhead and throw it into the ground as hard as they can.  One actually yelled, "Take that, mom!!!"  Ummm, glad I'm not in that household.  We played bosu baseball one day--throw the ball, one girl bunts it w/ a bar, girls on the outfield have to be in crab position. I kept adding crazier rules the longer they played. So, yeah, kids+physio ball=flat, especially w/ a crazy trainer.

Yeah, sometimes I wonder why my minds hasn't matured past 16.  Even worst, a 16 year old boy which I've never been.  I still laugh about telling the guy in class to go grab one of the blue balls, inadvertently poor wording, made worst because it's where my mind went.

We can be 16 year old boys together.  I suspect my brain was more mature at 16 but I've just regressed.  Or perhaps it's my refusal to grow up.  Laughing  Either way, I end up laughing a lot so I'm thinking it'is okay.  I'm pretty sure Beavis and ****head are my soulmates... (That triggered the profanity filter!  Holy cow!)

I'm just going to say right now that if Ivillage's profanity trigger followed me around all day, I'd never be allowed to speak.

My kids are mortified that I thought this was funny but my car radio shows the song/artist that is playing, in a short little line. Corey Hart's Sunglasses at Night was on, only it's too long so it said...Corey Hard Sungl (part 1)...asses at Night (part 2).  I'm not sure if I'm more juvenile, or just have reached the point where I don't care if I'm too cool to be that.

If the rest of Ivillage worked as well S the profanity filter, we'd be in good shape..ladies, watch those dirty minds! Gymrat, I hope that some doctor finds something to fix soon. Jean, glad your vacation was fun...the portion sizes might be part of why you didn't gain wait, but it sounds like you were pretty active. Karla, it is horrible to have to be afraid in your own neighborhood. I am only working mornings this week, but my plan to sit at the pool was foiled by the weather. I lifted, then swam 100 laps inside. I was halfway home when the sun started to come out...but I didn't turn around and go back. Hoping for better weather for the rest of the week.
