on Thursday, we expect a whopping 28 degrees!  :D  For now, we are still in the negative digits, and it is horribly cold!  My foot is not as swollen, but I am going to schedule an appointment with a doctor just to be safe...my foot is very sore,.  :(  With dance classes schedued, I want to make sure I am safe to proceed.  I feel like this is the "calm before the storm," since I await my offer letter from my new employer within the next two weeks, vacation in FL in two weeks, followed by a national meeting in early February.  In the meantime, I feel a little "stunned."  We are being told that everything is "up in the air" with regards to compensation, insurance, and benefits...it's a black hole at the moment.

Everyone, stay safe and warm!

Wow, 28 degrees.  That sounds horrible. Laughing  Glad you are getting your foot checked out, especially with your vacation coming up.

I'm feeling pretty allergic today thanks to the allergy shots yesterday.  It's manageable (so far).  Still haven't gotten my car back yet.  I'm alright with driving DH's truck but I cannot park the thing to save my life.  I now have new respect for big trucks that are parked crookedly.  I totally get it now.  I'm going to do some more cardio this morning.  No training but working on freelance stuff.

Fresh-ew on the foot. And it is so odd about your job. My sister who worked for a very large health care company until her division was sold last month is experiencing the same exact kind of things you are. Maybe you both worked for the same company and were bought by the same one.

It was -8 (actual temp but -20 with windchill) when I got up this morning and I had to go get the kids I homeschool. Their subdivision was a solid sheet of ice and I could not get through. I had to take the much longer back way to get them. They were so happy to get to my house this morning because it is horribly cold in their house and very warm in mine. It is supposed to get to 12 today and 30 tomorrow so things are warming up here too.

Gym, good thing you aren't having to park the truck in a parking lot that is covered with ice. ;-)

Right there with you on the cold.....my walks to and from work were sheer torture..and I dressed as warm as I possibly could. I am taking Thursday and Friday off to go to the US Figure Skating championships so I felt like I really had to Go into the office. I am struggling with how much longer I will work before retiring...at least until February when bonuses get paid.....I am working on a project that will not be ending on schedule....sometimes I think it will never end....and I am in someways committed to staying until it finishes...but some of the people working n it are the most ungrateful people I have ever worked with...and when I am walking in the cold, I wonder why I care....but old habits die hard. Gymrat, hope the allergies settle. FSN, good idea on getting the foot checked out. Karla, I keep my house warm too...I know I won't like the electric bill, but I still put the heat up....I did go to the gym tonight...8 minute bike warmup, lifting for legs, abs...I should have swim (swum?) laps but I just couldn't make myself....

Ooooohhhh...US figure skating?!  I LOVE watching ice skating!  Have fun!!!  I saw on tv they had a combined figure skating and gymnastics extravaganza on last week.  Those sports amaze me!

Does your sister work for a company that starts with a B and ends with an S?  Yes, BS.  :)  It's funnier with the middle letter, too.
