Two days till Thanksgiving Tuesday

Well I attempted to be clever. lol

My ankle/heel/foot appears to be better but I am not taking any chances. I do not want a lingering long drawn out injury. I was thinking about doing some weight lifting later today but instead I am going to force myself to do nothing. I am taking a whole week off. At least that is my plan for the moment. lol

I can't find a table runner so I may have to get a new one and have my mother hem it today. Several people I know have some sort of stomach virus so I am just praying we don't get it with Thanksgiving just days away now.

Lots of bad weather moving in so I hope everyone stays safe.

I give you credit for being clever.  Cool

Worked today and meeting my parents tonight for dinner.  Did cardio this morning.  It's beautiful out....  mid 60's.  Cold enough to wear jeans but warm enough to still wear flip flops.

My dad came back from Florida yesterday, and it snowed at his house today....I asked him the cost to rent a room in Florida this winter but he hasn't answered:). We are supposed to get heavy rain and strong wind, but warmer tomorrow. Karla, glad your foot is feeling better...I always say 'it's not the holidays if someone isn't puking'. It just seems inevitable that there is a lot of sickness. We got an email at work today for a stress reduction seminar...followed by an email apologizing because the RSVP button in the email didn't work...I suspect that caused stress...had to laugh. Gymrat, glad you are getting to spend time with your mom. Any differences. You notice since her medical issues earlier this year? Jean and FSN, I fear you are trapped in traffic somewhere....I went tothe gym tonight. I got there early so I did a20 minute bike warmup, then lifted for legs. I planned to swim, but compromised on 15 very hard minutes on the Stairmaster. It just seems too cold to get wet, plus I had my nails done Sunday and I would like them to last until Thursday...the pool seems to loosen the polish and then I. Peel it off...

SJ, LOL on the rsvp button. I so wish I were in Florida right now. It is 25 with a wind chill of 4 today. There is some ice on the road so I am taking my mother to her Silver Sneakers class this morning. I think while I am waiting I may do abs and a couple of other things since I will be at the gym. I wish they would let me bring my coffee in. :-)

LOL on the broken RSVP button...  That is great.

My mom seems much better.  She's pretty well healed from all the surgery and they're still playing with her meds to keep her blood pressure down and stay functional.

On the nails...  have you considered a gel or shellac manicure?  That's my answer to chips and getting my hands wet.  I don't even use regular polish except on toes.  Most salons can do them or with a little practice, it's pretty easy to do at home.  (It's become sort of a hobby for me.)

As winter settles in, as much as I love skiing, I'm thinking it would be great to have a place in Florida!  Did you get hit w/ the storm, SJ?    We're getting a ton of rain, some snow/sleet.  Glad we're settled in!  The drive to pick up my son was horrible. I guess I need to plan that it always will be!
