Do any of you wear multifocal contacts?  I can't find ones that work and it's been years in the progress. It's frustrating and I refuse to use reading glasses--they're just not convenient.  The computer screen is the worst. Anyway, aging rant over.  I'm teaching a high intensity core class today. We decided to alternate my step class, one week step, one week HIIT. It'll be better for them and easier for me to teach. I'd get rid of the step but it's a skill to teach it and if I stop, I'm afraid I'll lose it. LOL, I'm still waiting for the step resurgence that's never going to come. What are you all up to, today?

Jean, I too would be afraid of losing my step skills.  Although I suspect, if you lost it and didn't wait too long, you could probably pick it back up fairly quickly.

Stephanie, welcome!

Not sure on a workout today.  I finally power washed all of my BM stuff yesterday which was a fair amount of work.  I need to go back outside this morning to put it all away.  I might do a short bout of cardio but my back is feeling sore so I might not.  Probably more writing today but maybe not.  I got a rewrite request yesterday from a copy editor who woke up on the wrong side of the bed. It was extremely rude and condescending which has not at all been my experience thus far.  If I do a rewrite, it will go back to her so I might just let the article go and do a new one which hopefully will get sent to another CE.

DH, OP and I are leaving this afternoon.  We're stopping at my condo to check it out (old witchy tenant is gone as of yesterday and claims it has been cleaned) and then down to OP's old house for a giveaway of all the stuff he didn't want to move.

Jean, have bifocals and reading glasses. I hate wearing glasses but I can't see a thing without them. My reading glasses have a special area in them for my computer distance. I have never tried contacts but have considered it.

My glutes are screaming today! I am just going to do a slow comfortable walk tonight. I'll be sitting in a car for 6 hours tomorrow to get to where the race is so I don't want sore legs. I am so excited about it. I have a hotel room booked and am going to stop to see relatives along the way and pick up others for the race.

Interesting occurence that I posted about in the app thread above. I'll copy it hear in case you aren't paticipating in the convo above: I went running with my sister. She used the Nike app, I used iRunner. We both started at the same time and ran side by side. We are the same height and have the same stride. By one mile, her app had the time one full minute different (faster) than mine. They did not report our mileage the same at any given time. At various mile markers our times were completely different. By the end of the run, her app reported it at 4.5 miles; mine at 4.35 (the course is more accurately 4.5) and it was the only time both apps had the same time on them. We ran a very hilly course (the first 2 miles were nothing but hills) and the greatest differences in our apps were on those hills. I'm guessing the differences were most likely caused by phone signal issue don't you think?

Gym, I could not be a writer. My sister was a freelance journalist (award winning I might add) for many years and she often came across rude editors.Good luck getting the article the way the CE wants it.

Great start to the day! I've thought about getting a dog but I'm not sure I want to commit to walking/running it every day. I should look into borrowing a dog!

I've having posting problems today. I hate to complain because I am posting but sometimes getting doubles so kind of the opposite problem.  I've thought about writing and it's what I wanted to do, from the time I was about eight. But, yeah, I couldn't deal w/ editors and all.

Is the race this weekend? How far is it again? How many obstacles, do you know?

The race is Saturday. I am in the noon wave and I read somewhere that there are 600 people per wave. I also saw where recently 10,000 people were at one of these. lol I can't wait! I hope I am able to get some pictures.

Sheesh-editing to add that the race is 3.2 miles and I believe this one has 12 obstacles.
