So tired...tried to stay awake for the speeches last night, but I failed miserably.

Spin this morning, work today, work dinner program tonight.  I probably won't get home until 11 or 12 tonight.  :O

Tomorrow, I have dinner with a higher muckety-muck and 14 others.  :O  I probably won't get home until 11 or 12 tomorrow night either.  So I'll miss my pup training.

Friday, I am supposed to go to a neighborhood party, but I may just collapse, instead.  Nah, I should go, but I don't want to get lassoed into hosting one of those bunco parties.  There seems to be a cold wind in the air, although my latest mantra is, "Turn toward that which is difficult and touch it with healing rather than fear." - Jack Kornfield

Life goes forward.

I didn't make it through the speeches either. I spent most of the evening doing homework then checked how the election was shaping up and went to bed. Normally I watch a little longer but I was too tired.

You sure have a couple of really long days ahead of you. Good luck!

hahaha-love that mantra. I think I may adopt it too.

I was proud that I made it to the results. I figured I'd catch the speeches today on youtube.  I'm exhausted, had early morning clients and was on the go for most of today. But I did get in a turbokick class.  Just not my thing. I have a webinar tonight on posturally safe bicep and triceps. It's one I thought I had a couple of weeks ago but had the wrong day.  I hope I can get in a nap beforehand.

Wow..I can read responses and reply on my IPad..only took three weeks..so unimpressed... But sooooo happy with the election results. I had a nap between the announcement of the results and the president's speech, but I woke up just in time. I hope we can come together as a nation and work to right the things tht are wrong...we are so much better than he petty way our government acts... It is snowing here tonight...if the locusts come I am going to start going to church....my once broken foot is hurting...I switched lifting last night to not do legs in the hope that tomorrow will be better. No gym tonight...I went out to dinner tonight with an old freind...it was a fun night....but I took a taxi home because it was sooooo cold and snowy... Hope everyone manages whatever you need to get done!

I did manage to stay up for all of it and am paying for it today...  I'm happy about the result but it's all become rather bittersweet.  My client that has been with me the longest (6 years) quit training today.  She and her husband are extremely conservative radical Republicans who are convinced that Obama is going to ruin the economy so they're cutting all extraneous expenses, which includes me.  I'm trying to respect the fact that is a valid fear she is experiencing but I'm frustrated because if Romney had won, she'd be writing me a check tomorrow.  I just don't believe anyone's financial situation is going to change radically because of who is in the white house.

So, that along with a fight with hubby and very little sleep - it's not exactly been a stellar day.  I managed to do 30 minutes of cardio which was good considering I declared it a rest day the moment I woke up.  I had work and then I had a massage with a new girl because my regular girl is gone for a month.  It was quite nice and even nicer when I got home to find that DH had made me a lovely dinner and dressed up to look nice for me (I was wearing gym clothes and had massage hair).  He made mushroom ravioli from scratch, roasted tomato and shallot sauce and french bread with garlic butter.  It was delicious and made me feel good that he went to so much effort.

I'm exhausted.  Off to bed.  At least I don't have to work in the morning.  :P  Silver, linings, right?

"I hope we can come together as a nation and work to right the things tht are wrong...we are so much better than he petty way our government acts..."

Hear, hear!  When you see how they worked together during Sandy and made things better during such a horrific event, you wonder why they can't do that on a daily basis.  It's like watching parents on the verge of divorce!  Just do what's best for the country and forget your self-grievances.  What's scary is the fatalistic view people have of it all. I really liked this article:

Speaking of fatalistic views. I'm sorry to hear about your client.  You're more patient than I am--I wouldn't think it was a realstic fear but over-reaction.  Sorry about the fight, too. Those are emotionally exhausting.

Eh, I do think it's an over-reaction. A huge over-reaction. I'm just trying to be understanding that this is a valid fear for her (neverminding that I think it's ridiculous and stupid). I put the word out to my remaining clients that I have openings (I give them free sessions for referrals). One of my clients recently joined a golf league and asked if she could print me business cards to give them. Her exact words were "I've got your back, girl" which was an awful nice thing to read this morning. :)

My first thought was if you have ANY liberal leanings, her reaction may be to your opinions on politics and NOT economics.  Just sayin'...

That crossed my mind, too. I'm VERY careful to be neutral with clients.

That's really nice of the client to look out for you.  It takes all kinds.  Hope you find someone even better!

Ha, I'm also wondering what will happen to the client who dropped you when she realizes her health goes down the drain and it'll cost her more in the long run when she's not working out regularly.
