Why am I exhausted Thursday?

I thought I'd feel better with the extra hour but I'm still tired and need a break. I'm feeling really out of shape, too tired to work out. I find it challenging to demo some moves, even. On the postiive side, I guess, they've found that women w/ active jobs, even w/out working out officially, have lower rates of metabolic syndrome and heart disease. I've been going to my new gym, which is my old gym that closed w/ a facelift/new owners. It's much nicer, tons of new equipment I've never seen. I feel like such an old dog not wanting to learn new tricks but really, what advantage does any machine have over free weights and a ball/BOSU?
I'm teaching step this morning, conditioning to the dance girls where I'm teaching a routine to gangnam style that has mountain climbers and burpees, and then have jazz class.I'm so ready for this jazz class to end! It's fun enough but just a bad time and I get very little out of it. I'd much rather spend the time on technique and repetition, although it wouldn't be as fun as working on a routine. Ha, I should just ask the dance girls to teach me to do it!

I am so "with you" on retiring in a warmer climate! My joints are all achey with this cold weather!!!
Karla, chicken and dumplings sounds so yummy! I used to make that ALL of the time as it was my comfort food.
Jean, you are so good with your clients, and it must be refreshing to tell those execs what to do!
Gymrat, you lead such a wonderful life...how was the glass blowing?
lol on menosuck. Most of my friends are going through it right now.
It's nice and sunny here today. Looks nicer than it feels but I'll take sunshine to what the east coast is dealing with. Some of my friends who just got their power turned back on have just lost it again.
My granddaughter is here today and she can't keep her hands off the keyboard when I try to type. lol. Of course she spends most of her time in my lap ;-) She got her orthotics on Tuesday and she can stand up and even balance for a second on her feet. She is trying to take steps. They said her legs and feet would be really sore for about a week so I feel really sorry for her. It is great to see her up and trying to move about. They had to get her really large shoes to cover the orthotics so I don't know if that is going to be a hindrance or help to her.
I'm making chicken and dumplings for dinner. It just seemed like a dumpling kind of day. ;-)

I agree with gymrat about a doc visit because you don't "sound" like yourself. I am finding that many things go undiagnosed for years, even with frequent doc visits. It's up to each person to be an advocate for themselves by listening to their body and being assertive about the changes/issues.
With that said, I am exhausted, too, but I know that it's because of my late night program last night, along with hormones. It's been ttom for over a week now....yes, that's "normal" given that I am going through menosuck.
Rest day today. My legs are sore from spin yesterday. I am envisioning an unhealthy red meat dinner tonight with cautious conversation among my 15 or so work companions. I should put together my thoughts in case I am asked. Funny, but I am really good with conversation on a one on one basis, but I carry no weight in a group setting. I just can't "carry the floor"and I can't get the "rhythm" so I just remain quiet. Someone even commented on that fact last night (my quietness). C'est la vie.
B coffee, shrimp fajita, green smoothie
L light salad and light soup (preparing for heavy dinner)
D red meat, medium rare please, creme brulee for dessert if I am able
Jean, are you sure it's a lack of sleep or training of your own? I know you are SuperWoman but a doc visit might be in order just to make sure everything is running as it should.
I'm feeling better today. I got a lot of sleep and that helped. I also have a light day which gives me some time to process and relax. I'm doing a kettlebell workout this morning and I've got one client this afternoon. I will also probably run errands as well.
