Winding down on Wednesday

Few! Yesterday was an emotionally charged day. One of my new work partners called me in regards to emails I've been sending. He was infuriated, my analysis of him is a narcissistic egotistical chauvinist. At times, we were yelling at each other on the phone. It was more like a husband-and-wife fighting, although I tried to remain as professional as possible. I was proud of myself because in this instance, I did not let him get away with any of his lies twisted Comments. He dug His heels in the sand with a few Lies, but I refuted his lies, not calling him a liar but letting him know that his behavior showed otherwise. I was so upset, that I had to pull the car over to talk to this guy. Don't worry, I use hands-free, but I knew I was so upset that I was safer In a parking lot. I have to admit that I feel a lot better now that gotten everything off my chest directly to this person. I've been holding it in, in hopes that he would just calm down and leave me alone. But when people are unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright rude to my face, it's a little hard to ignore and to not Demand otherwise. The funny part about it is that he seems to be protecting one of his coworkers who is the actual person I have an issue with. Several of my customers have come to me saying that they don't like her because she's so abrasive. Her coworker, this man that I bought with yesterday, seems to be defending her and coming to her rescue and taking it personally.

And the two of them completely blew off two conference calls I had scheduled. In any events, I think he knows that there are consequences to his behavior now, and hopefully, he won't try again, although I suspect he will. C'est la vie.

Gymrat- I saw a hula hoop in a store a couple weeks ago and was so tempted. I loved to hula hoop when I was little...maybe I'll go buy one...FSN, I am dealing with idiot men at work too...they are so buddy buddy with the men who run the group we do work for..but they give out misinformation (aka lies) and don't do what they promise. I am helping with this project as a 'favor' and the woman in charge, who asked me for the favor, told me last week that the two clients feel like I am'not on their side'. I tell them hard truths, like 'no, we can't do that.' They are disapointed now, but not surprised and disappointed later. I am so furious about this that a week later I am still thinking of what I should have said..but here is the kicker...one of the annoying men resigned last week...I want to say 'who's on your side now?' One of my mother's life lessons aw 'you don't have to do anything to get even, just wait'. That has served me so well over the years. Jean, loved your description of your family...Karla, glad you have some sunshine...FSN's voice software does better than my typing with auto correct..but I totally have a Boston accent...no words end with an 'r' when I say them...gym today, Pilates. Very nice stretching.

I don't know why but I have what most people describe as a German accent. I can't tell you how often over my life people have asked me what country I am from. I have a twin sister and she has the same accent. We both took speech therapy from a British woman until we hit middle school so I think we may have somehow picked up something from her.

It's funny I try to imagine what the rest of you girls sound like too. We should all meet up some day in person. It would be totally cool to be able to put a voice and a face with the name and stories.

Ugh, work sounds like reality TV with all its alliances!  I'm so glad I don't have to deal with it. I was talking to someone about how most of my clients are awesome and you don't get a power trip from them, even though they're high level executives/business owners/partners. I was joking that being in charge of how many push ups a person does is a great equalizer.  The good thing is I've never felt like they're treating me like an employee or "hired" help.

We've talked about meeting up but life gets in the way. I love that the Running Women board does it regularly.  I did it a couple of time but haven't recently.  We'd be a nice small group. It would be fun to do one of those fitness conferences that I do--all day of working out and trying new classes. I'm not going this year but they have them all the time.  Jen (who hasn't been around in years) and I have met up a few times. We live close enough that it's do-able.  Where are you again, Karla? I know somewhere in the mid-west. Was it Nebraska?

SJ, I have a feeling I would like working with you. I like, "just the facts. "I'm here in much just like politics... My definition of politics is hidden Motivations, and words that don't match behavior. I prefer, "straight shooters." I don't think of any of you as having accents. But I've been told I have a Chicago accent from my California relatives. It would be fun to meet up one day. I like the thought of working out as well. But I think you could all kick my butt in the workout area. All I do is yoga now.
