Winding down on Wednesday

Few! Yesterday was an emotionally charged day. One of my new work partners called me in regards to emails I've been sending. He was infuriated, my analysis of him is a narcissistic egotistical chauvinist. At times, we were yelling at each other on the phone. It was more like a husband-and-wife fighting, although I tried to remain as professional as possible. I was proud of myself because in this instance, I did not let him get away with any of his lies twisted Comments. He dug His heels in the sand with a few Lies, but I refuted his lies, not calling him a liar but letting him know that his behavior showed otherwise. I was so upset, that I had to pull the car over to talk to this guy. Don't worry, I use hands-free, but I knew I was so upset that I was safer In a parking lot. I have to admit that I feel a lot better now that gotten everything off my chest directly to this person. I've been holding it in, in hopes that he would just calm down and leave me alone. But when people are unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright rude to my face, it's a little hard to ignore and to not Demand otherwise. The funny part about it is that he seems to be protecting one of his coworkers who is the actual person I have an issue with. Several of my customers have come to me saying that they don't like her because she's so abrasive. Her coworker, this man that I bought with yesterday, seems to be defending her and coming to her rescue and taking it personally.

And the two of them completely blew off two conference calls I had scheduled. In any events, I think he knows that there are consequences to his behavior now, and hopefully, he won't try again, although I suspect he will. C'est la vie.

I am having difficulty with the voice recognition software, so I will continue here.  I hope to go Linedancing tonight.  I need a happy distraction at the moment.  If not, perhaps yoga tonight.  What are you all up to?

Wow Fresh, that is horrible that you are working under such stressful conditions. I hope you are able to get things to a more peaceful level at some point.

I can't stop thinking about those three women that were found in that home in Ohio. This weekend is that benefit race for a young woman who went missing from my town a few years ago. I know her sister and mother and they will be at the race. I wonder if they will be looking over the crowd wondering if she is being held captive in the home of someone there. It is all so sickening.

It is supposed to be a glorious day today so I am going to take granddaughter to the park and walk a few miles. I need to soak up some sunshine big time! :-)

Yes, I can't stop thinking about how those parents felt in the past how they feel now, and how they're going to feel going forward trying to help their daughters. It is such a sickening statement about our society, and the depths of negativity that some people perpetuate. I only know that I try to make a difference in my small part of the world, and try to live up to higher standards in being kind to others. By the way Karla, congratulations on the job. I think it's wonderful. You are such a superwoman, with all of your responsibilities that you juggle through so much activity and, yet, maintain such a positive outlook. You are an inspiration to those around you. Just by being who you are, you are making a positive impact on this world.

It sounds like you have the most stressful work environment!  It's crazy. Do you post all that from voice recognition software? I'm impressed it did such a good job.

I had seven clients today in a row (four working and three advice), and am now exhausted.  I have no workout schedule this week and don't know how I'll fit it in.  We're trying to get our finances in order now that we know where my son is going to school and what we have to contribute. It gives us nice breathing space and we're going to refinance the house for 15 years. We want to have it paid off ASAP.

Jean, I am pretty impressed with Fresh's voice software too. I use voice on my iPhone but it's not able to handle my accent all that well. You should see the doozies I often wind up with. lol

FSN - How awful.  I'm sorry you had to deal with that.  I find it so much harder to deal with those professional situations because your career can depend on staying calm and collected.  I hope you come out the other side smelling like a rose.

Karla - I know.  I just can't imagine what their families are going through.  It's wonderful that they were found.  I can't imagine not leaving the house for 10 years.

Jean - So, you'll have one kid left at home, right?

It's been a nutty day.  Just a lot of stupid minutia that I want to finish.  Did 20 minutes on the elliptical and 20 minutes using my hula hoop.

What kind of accent do you have? I always imagined a generic mid-west one.  I'm from the Boston area, but I speak a mile minute and don't have the accent. I had a linguist try to peg me as southern California. I guess that's as close as any--I watched a lot of Brady Bunch growing up.;-)

I hate minutiae.  Is the hula hoop a new thing? How is it working for you?

Yes and no on having only one child left.  I'm losing my adult-like child so things will be harder. I'm keeping my child-like adult (hubby who is off on a golf trip) and my teenage girl so it will be exponentially harder!

Yeah, it's fun and it's a pretty great cardio workout.  I bought it for work purposes as it's portable and something different - I like to introduce new stuff and keep clients interested.  Plus, anytime you can pass off exercise as play, it's a bonus.
