Winging it Wednesday

I had some early morning clients and am thinking of giving them up altogether. The early morning is challenging and the other trainers really want more hours.  We'll see.  I'm heading to turbokick soon.  I'm kind of at a loss what to do and it's at my gym.  It's just a lot of same old, same old.  There is a free zumba class at the dance studio that I might catch, just to support fitess at the studio.  I'm also teaching dance conditioning and have to get my act together for that.  What are you all up to today?

Your title is making me crave chicken wings. Yum. Yeehaw! i am going line dancing tonight, and I am not teaching anyone anything. It is so much fun to just get lost in the music and move and know that I'm also exercising, but just having fun. On Friday, I will also be going ballroom dancing with my mom. She turns 85 on Friday So I will bring her home made chocolate covered strawberries and a bouquet of colorful flowers. Anymore, she only wants food or edible items for presents. She is constantly purging her home of things to get rid of, claiming that she doesn't want me to have to be burdened with her "junk "after her demise. Incidentally, she's been doing that for over 30 years, and verbally telling me for over 30 years. She is a pistol! Jean, I envy you in your position of not having to work, and doing so many activity-based sports. What I would give to have a full day to quilt!

lol wings sound great! I tried boneless bbq wings from Pizza Hut recently and I was really surprised how good they were.

I am going to Insanity tonight if I get time. We are expecting serious storms tomorrow and have a boatload of firewood that we want to get into the woodshed before the rain hits.

I have to give a shout out for great customer service to sport-seasons.com! I recently bought something online from them and used Amazon Pay to pay for it. Stupidly, I didn't print the confirmation, didn't jot down the transaction number or anything. Two days later I realized I never got an email from the company, just a note from Amazon that my account had been charged. It had no details at all of my purchase other than the name of the company. I got to looking it over and realized I had signed up for in store pick up. I don't live anywhere near the store so there is no way I can pick it up in-store. I had to go to the sport-seasons web site, find the customer service number and call. To my surprise, a very friendly person answered the phone. I explained that I had no purchase number and no details of my transaction other than the date that I think I ordered the item and what it was I ordered. The cs rep laughed a little and said it would be no problem, Amazon pay transactions are often like that, and she went through and looked up my order and found everything. She quickly corrected my shipping status to home delivery and then gave me free shipping! About an hour later I got a note from her that my item was on it's way and would be at my home in two days. I have to say that to talk to such a pleasant and helpful person rather than some automated system was very nice.

Good for your mom!  It's great that she's so active.

It was a choice I made when we had kids that I'd be happier w/ a small house, regular cars and nothing fancy, so I wouldn't have to worry about working. It's really tough being in a military family to find a job and child care with every move. So, there have definitely been sacrifices and as with everything, some regrets but overall I'm happy w/ it. It is hard living in an area when everyone has huge houses and name cars and clothes but I'm also not stressed.

How is your elbow doing?  You could do a commercial for Amazon Pay! That sounds like great customer services.

I was at class today and couldn't stay. It was just mind numbing so I went to the gym part and started fooling around.  I was wondering if anyone was going to tell me I shouldn't be doing what I was since it had a lot of hanging and some jumping but maybe they decided to stay away from the lunatic.  I did tear my hands, though, doing monkey bar type things. But, I was so excited because they had two bars hanging about 8 inches apart so I hung on one, reached up w/ one hand to grab the upper bar and pulled myself up and then came down that way and repeated.  Or maybe that's how I tore my hands.
