I woke up with a sore throat. I went to yoga, anyway, and now my energy level just plummeted. It seems that there is a horrible cold "going around. "Unfortunately, I got it. So, no line dancing tomorrow night, as I think I'm going to need to recover from this. Lots of changes at work which is no unexpected event. Life goes forward. Lots of work today, and I anticipate that my husband will be very upset that I'm sick. He just has one month to go before the marathon, and he can't afford to get sick at this point. He did a 22 mile run this past weekend, with all of his training he is lost 21 pounds. Needless to say, I will be wash my hands a lot. Make it a great day, everyone!

Hope your cold doesn't get worst.  Try my apple cider vinegar gargle! I'm telling you all, I haven't been sick since 1999.  Under the weather a couple of times but it never got worst.

My friend whose daughter is on Project Runway was here visiting and it was nice to get caught up.  I rarely see her but she was my bridesmaid so we've known each other a long time.  I think I'll catch zumba tonight.  I have that obstacle course racing this weekend but need to find a green top (we decided on that as a team), Maybe I should do that now.  Ugh, I have studying to do for my level 2 ski test. I want to take the written part to get it out of the way.

FSN, I certainly hope that your husband isn't upset with you for being sick.  People don't choose to get sick.  Or.. if he's that worried, have him put you up in a posh hotel for a couple of days.  Cool

Jean, more details on the apple cider vinegar gargle.  Do you do it regularly or just when you feel sick?

I took another job yesterday - a tourism article for people relocating to AZ.  I spent a good portion of yesterday working on that.  I have a doc appointment this morning, sushi for lunch and helping OP pack since he's moving next week.  My ENT called in another antibiotic prescription so I will probably go pick that up today as well.

I was thinking the same thing about her husband getting upset at her. Plus, it's going around so even if he gets it, it could be from anywhere!

When I start feeling a scratchy throat, or beginning of chills, I gargle w/ 1/3 apple cider, 2/3 warm water and repeat through the day.  It helps the throat, to begin with, but it seems always to stop there, then.  It could be placebo effect but I love the placebo effect when it's for something this easy.

It would be awesome if you could parlay tourism and fitness writing into a travel career.  If you do, I'll volunteer to help!

No, DH is not mad at me, just annoyed that it might increase his risk of getting sick before the marathon. He said this is his last marathon, and it's extra special to him since his son is running it with him. But, I have to confess that I am so annoyed with how his son's arrogance of being a know-it-all, although I suppose most teenagers have that misconception. Whatever. I have been gargling with the brags apple cider vinegar, using the netipot, and taking vitamin c. I am so annoyed that the woman from he77 is continuing to make my life miserable even though she is no longer with my company. She let me know late tonight that she "forgot" to can all an early morning appointment with an important customer, so I have to rearrange my entire day tomorrow. It's not so bad except for the fact that I had already committed to someone to get a huge spreadsheet workbook out that will be used by 100s of employes at my company. :O. And I have two trainings, along with protests to do all by tomorrow on top of my regular workload. Oh well, no rest for the weary. At least I am employed...there are worse things in life, right?! Life is good.
