Life takes so much persistence and patience!  I think today may be a rest day.  My legs are so sore from yoga, as are mchest set and arms.  Athin sees yoga push-ups were intense!  Work today...and getting the paperwork in process for therapy dog work.  Ugh...persistence and patience!  Dd told me I have a court date with my ex (her father) next week, so I suppose I should get my legal affairs in order, too.

anyone finish their taxes?  We haven't started, and it's gonna be an ugly year for us.  :(

I think you are undervaluing yourself. The hour you spent in a meeting is an hour you COULD have spent training someone. That is the monetary value of an hour of your time. The people on salary get paid the same whether they spend the week training, in meetings, or surfing the web. That is the value of an hour of their time. I think you should just put the meeting time on your tie sheet.

If you are paid by the hour, then why don't you see what happens when you submit the hour of admin time? Or just ask, "how do I record the time in my time sheet for the meetings?"

I am paid by the hour and submit a time sheet. I don't expect to be paid personal training rate for a meeting but something would be nice for my time/effort of getting there.  This is one of my biggest failings in the business world--money. I rarely ask for a raise and don't ask to be paid for things like this. Come to think of it, I haven't had a raise in over a year. Not sure this is the time to ask but I never do.  Sadly, in the gym that closed, I only received one raise since 2005.  They've closed the branch I work at but I sub on occasion at the other one, which is a hike for me. I make less than half there than I do in my current job.  I only really do those sub jobs as a favor when they can't find anyone and they give me free gym membership.

I haven't done my taxes...I hope all the papers I need will be waiting for me. I go to a very nice man to get them done. He works out of a real estate office on one of our commercial streets. Ny ou call his house and make an appointment with his wife. She is very sweet, and even though we have never met, I look forward to the call. I get everything organized so it doesn't take long, and I always had my. Mother and mine done, and it is worth it to me. Gymrat - I love how you say 'first world problems'. Such great perspective. Jean - in answer to your hanging silks post yesterday, I would say that many people don't care if things are right, and they don't stick with things long enough to pull the ceiling down. And if you are paid by the hour, you should be paid for meetings..do you submit a time sheet? Just write them in. I went tothe gym tonight, 10 minutes on bike, lifting for legs, a. Few abs. I got up to watch the State of the Union speech last night...I was crying at the end over the 102 year old lady who waited six hours to vote. I saw a tweet that pointedout that she was alive when women got the right to vote. I have a letter my grandfather wrote my grandmother in 1917 before she voted for the first time. In the last year of her life, she was in a nursing home, but at her request, my mother got her an absent ballot do she could vote in the presidential election. she had voted in every presidential election since she was allowed to vote, and she wasn't messing up her streak at the end...

We're talking about getting a tax person for our taxes this year. It's not that difficult but I'm sure I'm not getting the write offs for my work that I should be. Then again, I make so little that we might be paying the person more than I'd get back. Has anyone used H&R block? I don't think I need a high level professional.

I had a few clients this morning and then a staff meeting. So, apparently they're going to start having these meetings regularly.  I'm not salary like the others and think I should be paid. Do you think that's out of line?  I've already been to a few meetings for the high end resort that were my own time.  And, today, they had me do a presentation on postural analysis and corrective exercise. I don't mind doing it but it seems presumptuous that I'd do it out of the goodness of my heart.  Ha, I'm not that nice. If it were a nonprofit, I wouldn't bat an eye but this isn't.

My day is in limbo which is kind of annoying.  My girlfriend might get concert tickets for Pink tonight from her company but they wait until the last possible second to release them so they are available for clients.  I'm currently at OP's and as he's much closer to town, I would just stay here if we're going to the show.  If not, I would go home as usual.  However, today is also the day that BM tickets go on sale and there's usually an online queue that can take several hours to get through.  So, if I'm not going to the concert, I'd like to get home early so I can get in line online and not get stuck at OP's all day.  First world problems...  No work, no workout today.

Saw the allergist yesterday and after looking at the scans, it's no wonder I've been such a mess.  The doc thinks it's entirely possible that I've had this infection for a couple of years and it's just been varying in severity. No real new information though.  I see my ENT friend tomorrow so I'll know more after that.  Fingers crossed that he can schedule me for surgery next week.  I'm still on antibiotics but finished my prednisone on Monday.  Yesterday, I was already feeling poorly again so the allergist gave me more prednisone.  I cannot wait to get this done and move on with my life.
