Hey Steph! I do have a little mini-setup at home with dumbells, mats, a stability ball and an exercise ball. They're mainly so I can whip out a Nike Training Club workout if I'm crunched for time and can't make it to the gym. But I just upgraded my gym membership, so am spending more time there right now!
Regularly, I teach an advanced step class, a class like P90X/Insanity, boot camp. I also sub kickboxing, weight training, core, anything but Zumba and dance!
I find the time commitment to P90X to be the biggest drawback. I know a lot of people who've done the program but none have kept doing it, which you need.
I agree that working out alone is really boring and motivation is unlikely to last more than a week. If you don't have a friend ready to join you in your quest for fitness, take a look at WannaBuddy.com. That site uses your zip code to connect you with people in your area who share your interests, like exercise. Don't try to do it alone, get a buddy!

Hi Steph!
I've heard good things about Chalean.
I do LOVE P90X - have done it and got great results.
shebeest - I have found having workout buddy/accountability partener helps me a lot.
I know having a partner to be accountable really helps.

A friend of mine said she just ordered P90X version 2 and said that the workouts are a lot shorter.
