I have a feeling my husband is going to love chard and the guava sounds very interesting. I've not tried it and can't wait to see if town grocery store carries it.

I love swiss chard, especially in soup (since I'm lazy, it's easier to throw it in).

Love chard but hardly ever see guava. I see guava juice and nectar but not the actual fruit. I know a couple of stores that MAY have it. I'll have to check.

I went to Trader Joes yesterday, and they had neither swiss chard or guava.

I love Trader Joe's but absolutely hate their produce. Even the basics aren't good quality and seem to sit around too long.

I was able to get the swiss chard at my local grocery store but I bought a papaya instead of guava.

I found a super easy recipe for swiss chard from allrecipes

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch Swiss chard, stalks discarded, leaves cut into wide ribbons
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

I love papaya! Sadly, I can polish off a whole one in one sitting.
