New Years Resolutions

I love to think of a "fresh start," and what better time than the New Year!.  :D  So, do you have any resolutions?  Here are some of mine...

1.  LET GO of "black holes" and live in the present moment.

2.  Work on BEING HAPPY, and "walking the walk" of happy behaviors.

3.  HAVE FUN, and do things that bring joy to life.

4.  TALK HAPPY TALK.

Do you see a common theme, here?!  :P  I shoud download the, "Don't worry, Be Happy" song as my 2014 theme.  Can you think of any more current songs with that theme?

I tend to be a do-it-now kind of person so don't make resolutions.  I'm turning 50 this year so I should probably cross something off the bucket list. Oh, i have no bucket list... I guess I just want to keep having fun, keep laughing, keep jumping and landing, keep up what makes me happy.  I hope I never say, outside of joking, "I'm too old."

I am planning to retire in 2014....I have run the numbers over and over, and I asked my brother to go through them with me...we haven't done that yet, but he agreed to look at them with me. it looks do able.... So my resolutions are all around planning for a big and life changing event...I might go to Poland again for work, and if so, I will delay my retirement plans, but next year at this time, I hope to be part of the volunteer work force....

Woohoo! That's exciting news.  Whether you retire earlier or later, sounds like you've got great plans.

You too?!  I thought you were much younger than me, given all of your activity!  lol!  I am thinking of taking dh to Miami beach (he loves it there) for my birthday...cross it off my "bucket list," plus, he promised to take a salsa class with me if we go there, so I am keeping my fingers crossed!

SJ, I am SO ENVIOUS of you.  in being off of work for the past two weeks, I feel so much more relaxed!  I LOVE it!  Unfortunately, I have three children to put through college, so retirement will have to wait!  :(

lol Now that song is stuck in my head.

My resolutions this year are to work on my strength (Not just physical strength but overall total body and mind strength) and to explore career options. I will be 50 next year so I am going to start the next 50 years of my life off right.

Jean, I was just replying that I will be turning 50 in 2014 too. I don't know what it is about the big 5-0 but I sure have thought about it a lot lately.

I will be 58 in January....for me, the 50's have been the Happiest time of my life and I hope that willbe true for all of. You. I have two areas I want to give time to - children's literacy and 'wounded warriors'. I am starting to get. Involved with a United Way initiative about literacy. I am thinking about how to get involved with veterans - we have a VA facility and Fisher house here, plus a homelessveterans' shelter. Not sure what. I want todo, but I know i want To spend time on things that I think will make a difference. I likemy work, but it isn't 'benefit mankind' fulfilling and iwasn't that.

I don't have any resolutions per se but it's probably to continue working on staying positive with all of my health challenges.
