This review made kettleballs sound fun, but haven't tried to learn any routines.

I've tried them! And I thought it was a fantastic workout! My suggestion would be to try to get into a class where there are very few people. It is so important to keep the proper body posture to avoid injury that you simply can't get the proper attention and instruction when you have a larger class size. It is a great all over body workout though - you will definitely feel it the next day!

I like training with kettleballs, it's a nice change of pace from dumbells or free weights.

I have been using them for a few months now and I took a few classes to learn how to use them. It's something different and I like to do different things now and then. :)

The first few times I did classes in the kettlebell, I really enjoyed them and looked into buying some (the shipping is a killer!). But, the more I used them, the more I realized other than the kettlebell swing, the other exercises can be adapted for use with good dumb bells. I really dislike the exercises that require you to flip the kettlebells--they cause bruises and can hurt.

Jean, I just tried my first TRX class at a fitness conference - loved it! Where do you hang it at home?

I have a door attachment. It works--it's not perfect, you can't get below the handles, but it's fine for 90% of what I want to do.

It was a fitness retreat for our YMCA instructors in our region. Last conference I did all lectures, this time I did all classes -next time I will definitely do a mix of both! I was pooped by the end of it!
