Rounding out Summer and into Fall...

As we end summer, what plans do you have before the season ends?  Anything new come Fall?  Are you changing your workouts at all?  What about food and eating?

We've had a great summer so far--with kayaking the bioilluminescent bay, ziplining in the rain forest, rock climbing/scrambling/hiking/horse back riding, Zumba flash mob.  Still left: my son and I are signed up for parkour tomorrow and I'll probably get him a membership at that gym so he can continue doing all those other things. I bought a Living Social wine/kayak at sunset which we'll do next week.  I still want to sign up the kids for trapeze since we've had a gift certificate forever.  We're also going to see Cirque du Soleil for the first time.  

As we go into fall, I've decided to sign up for an adult jazz class. I really like this instructor so we'll see how it goes.  I might do the hip hop class, too, but on the fence about that.  I'd love to keep up the parkour.  I might be doing the Warrior Dash with work.  And, I'm sure other things will come up along the way.  I just want to keep moving so I can keep moving!

Well, I am going to Poland next week, and then there will just be one week of summer left...Labor Day is so early this year. My fitness routine doesn't change that much from season to season, except oddly I swim more in other seasons than in the summer. In the summer I love sitting by the pool in the sun...in the winter, I go to the gym and swim. However, this fall may be very different because I expect to be in Europe for three months. There will be no trainer - I will have to self motivate, and think up my own workouts. I don't know if there will be a pool. I hope I can find a gym with weights and a treadmill...I don't know how classes will be in Polish...but I guess I will find out. In September I will work out as hard and as often as I can..after that, we wil see where it fits in my life...

What an awesome adventure you're going to have! And, I have no doubt that even if the classes aren't great, you'll find some way to move.

I just remembered that my new gym will be opening next month so my fitness routine might change and I'll do more classes, hopefully.

It has been so hot this summer and even my gym has struggled with air conditioning. I have not done the workouts I have done in years past but I am just too busy with school and all. My plans this fall are to increase my cardio a little more and get through this semester then come winter I'll go back to some serious weight lifting. There are usually a greater selection of Yoga classes in the fall so once they start up again I hope to get a few more sessions a week in. 

I saw Cirque de Soleil a few years ago and it was the most amazing show I have ever seen. You will totally love it!
