Not sure if this is Healthy Living or where it belongs but I think it's mentally healthy, For regular every day clothes, where do you shop? Do you like shopping?  How do you dress--are you usually put together or do you look for Stacy and Clinton over your shoulder?

I get into modes where I feel like I need to dress better so I hit the typcial mall stores--Ann Taylor, Free People, Banana Republic, Nordstroms, etc. I make an effort for a little and then lose interest and end up back in my athletic Athleta type clothes and look for Stacy and Clinton over my shoulder. I have a closet full of nice stuff. I just can't be bothered.  I'm the same way w/ make up. I have the collection but rarely use it.

I HATE shopping. I am not a normal size so I can't just go to a shop and find something cute. I don't have a closet full of clothes but usually try to keep a current dress, skirt, sweater, and slacks in case I need them. I almost always wear jeans, sweats and t-shirts. I generally shop at JC Penneys (they have tall sizes) or Alloy.com for pants/slacks. I can sometimes find a t-shirt or blouse that will fit off a rack (if it is really long on other people then it may fit me) but for the most part, clothes shopping is a nightmare for me.

I hate shopping, too.  LOL, we're on opposite ends of the spectrum.  Clothes are way to tall for me and I have to order petites.  I've tried consignment shopping but then realized I'll never find anything my size.  It's tough enough in a regular store that carries something in every size!

Thanks to my daughter, I have been trying to, "kick it up a notch." That, and the fact that I am amongst the oldest people in my job. :(. I find that I fall back into jeans a thirty, so I vowed to stop buying thirst unless they are for layering or I add a scarf or sweater/jacket. I still love discount stores like to ax, Marshall's, outlets, and eBay...sometimes, a consignment shop. I like banana republic, jcrew, loft, but have to find petites so I look at Macy's, jcpenneys, etc. I love the Calvin Klein dresses since they seem to fit me perfectly. I tend to ask my daughter for her opinion since I am trying to "fit in" with the younger crowd/fashion but don't want to look like the old person trying to look young. Still, when I am at home, I like to wear soft pajama pants and a soft tshirt. Comfort is most important, personally.

I look for comfort, too, maybe too much. I refuse to wear shoes that are uncomfortable which means ugly flats for the most part.  And,being short, I probably should be wearing heels.  I think I dress too much like I think I'm 20.
