Workouts week of Aug 19
Sun, 08-19-2012 - 2:55pm
I will really need the accountability this week.... Sunday - swim...60 laps, already done. The pool is shorter than the one at home but I had it all to myself, so I am glad I made myself go...isn't it a wonderful world that one day, I can be swimming in Boston and 24 hours later, I am swimming n Poland? I know Ryan Lochtie swam two Olympic races in 30 minutes...just saying.... Monday - 10 minute cardio warmup(I hope bike), lifting...I am not sure whether I will do full body each time or try to do a split this week, it depends on how I assess the equipment, floor abs... Tuesday - I hope I am running with the relay team, if not I hope torun on my own, floor abs Wednesday - repeat Monday Thursday - maybe swim again, some kind of cardio, floor abs Friday - repeat Monday Saturday - maybe running with the relay team, if not, runining by myself... I hope I am not reduced to hotel room exercises but if I am, then I am. The goal is 20 minutes every day, no matter what.... Na dobry week everyone!

I thought I posted this yesterday...but I guess it is somewhere in Poland cyber here is even better reflection on last week. I did not work out as much as I wanted to, and I ate more....going forward, I need to treat these trips less like a vacation from a food standpoint and a workout standpoint....or I will be in trouble. I ate full breakfasts everyday, meals at lunch instead of salad, and wine every well as some late night snacks to help with jetlag. Next time I will stick to yogurt and fruit for most breakfasts and soup for lunch more days, and wine only when I am not dining alone. I think being tired makes me misjudge how much I need to eat....still, I did swim once, run twice, lift twice, and do hotel room exercises twice...I did as much as I planned to do minimally, but not enough for what my body needs. Next time, no taxis to the office. The tram is manageable and actually the office Is in walking distance for me, so I need to walk more....but I became much more comfortable with the city this time than last, and that is a great thing. So I am giving myself a passing grade this week.
