I hope it is OK that I am starting this. I mentally start my workout week on Sunday.... My goals this week are close to my goals for every week. Sunday, swim between 60 -120 laps, floor abs. Monday, 10 minute bike warmup, lifting for chest/back, ab circuit, run 1.5 miles. Tuesday, 10 minute bike warmup, lifting for legs, AB circuit, swim 60 laps. Wednesday -pilates. Thursday, 10 minute bike warmup, lifting for shoulders, bis, tris, AB circuit. Friday, run 3 miles, floor abs. Saturday, maybe Zumba. I also want to work on eating a little - adding one more serving of protein supplement each day, either in my morning oatmeal or yogurt or a protein shake after working out. I know that when I was really on top of this before, my night time eating was more under control, but it will take me a while to work my way back to where I need to be...so we'll try one step at a time....have a great week everyone!

My week was good, not perfect but my basic goal is to go to the gym five days a week. When I started working out it was to go three days a week...I used to trick myself and say 'you don't have to work out once you get there, you just have to go' (I walk there so even going is something). I never actually went and didn't work out...and yet I was always easily fooled by empty promises:smileyhappy:. This week, I went five times. I met my lifting goals, which I almost always do because I respect my trainer too much to cancel on him. I didn't go to Pilates, because it was cancelled, but I didn't' do the swim I postponed from Tuesday either. I worked, where the only workout is grinding my teeth and biting my tongue. The victory there is that I put an extra carton of yogurt into my food bag, and i successfully applied the 'no vending machine' rule....I ran twice, Monday and Saturday. The Zumba class on Saturday was subbed out to an instructor who I don't enjoy, and I was at work late again Friday so I deferred running. The victory there was that I really considered going out to Eat and having some wine, but I came home and made my own dinner...I have a 'don't drink alone at home' rule so that saved those calories...I thought I might make up for lost bike and run time yesterday, but the bikes I like didn't seem to be working, and I wasn't motivated enough to walk the 20 feet to ask someone for help...I was sweaty enough so I just did abs and retreated to the lounge chairs at the pool. I think I feel about lying in the chairs at the pool like Jean feels about the couch...I plan how to fit that time in. I also did better on protein this week, having a shake each dat I worked out. So all in all, I am happy.
