Workouts week of Sept 16

I feel it is possible I might not workout at all this week, but to prevent that, I am setting some goals. But not by days...run once for 20 minutes. Swim once for 20 minutes. Bike. Twice for 15 minutes. Lift 3 times, 4 sets of three reps of something each time. abs 4 times. Go to Zumba or swim hard on Saturday...other than walking and standing, I've done nothing for three days...but I set the alarm for 7:00am so I can work out in the morning...I know I won't want to...but I will be sorry if I don't...and happy with myself if I do...

That's a good idea to set goals like that, too, by the week rather than day.  I'm not sure this is a great idea but I'm running a lot this week.  We'll see how I feel ramping up quickly.

Sun: Running/aerial silks

Mon: Running

Tues: Running hills

Wed: run/walk

Thurs: teach step class, conditioning then jazz

Fri: rest

Sat: teach boot camp; aerial silks, maybe parkour

I have one of those weeks coming up soon, so your idea is timely for me. This week, life has some unplanned events that my workouts will have to be arranged around... Sunday. Yoga...the sub instructor did mostly stretching so I was very disappointed...took the pup on a long walk Monday. Kickboxing Tuesday pup training? Wednesday yoga? Thursday kb or 50/50 Friday...dunno...sub yoga instructor :smileysad:. Kb again? Saturday spin and Pilates???

Even though I worked out less than I usually do, I am most proud of last week. I got up 4 mornings to work out, and I adjusted and got earlier and earlier each day because the half hour I allocated for day 1 was not enough. I ran along the river. I ran on the treadmill. I biked twice, although not for 15 but rather 10 minutes. I lifted three times. I did abs every day. I walked for an hour, which I hadn't planned. Yesterday I both went to Zumba and swam 60 laps...it would have been so easy to blow off the whole week, and I didn't. Big A for me this week!

I did better than expected. On Sat, I taught the bootcamp class, did aerial silks and did parkour but at an easy pace.  I went for a long walk on Friday and took Wed off.

Kudos to you - working when travelling is so difficult...especially when you have meetings/work to attend to...employers would have you work for them 24/7 if you let them.  :smileysurprised:

As for me, I did well, except for the fact that I forgot that I had an all day photography class on Saturday.  Also, before yoga this week, I did 15 minutes on the elliptical.  Since the yoga instructors vary in the amount of a workout I get, I need to "kick it up a notch".
