Hmm, i think we're the only ones doing this but that's okay. I need to plan better so this will be helpful.

Sun: Run 5 miles

Mon: rest

Tues: Zumba

Wed: My own gym workout that I'll wing

Thurs: teach step, conditioning then have jazz class (which isn't really a workout, just some movement)

Fri: run, if I get motivated, Zumba if not

Sat: silks and parkour

I really need to set goals...once I write it down, I feel more committed, and I don't want to report that I skipped....I am the original goody goody girl....

I like the week plan, but since my life has so many last minute events, my plans rarely "pan out."  So far,

Sun travel day

Mon total conditioning

Tue yoga

Wed long walk with dog, linedancing

Thu don't know - yoga?  spin? walk the dog?

Fri - yoga?  Is this bad?  I can't stand one of the instructors - she is very controlling and demeaning when the class doesn't "woohoo" in response to her catcalls.  she has also lied to me so I don't respect her.  even though one of her classes is in a time slot that is efficient for my schedule, i work my schedule around hers because she has really bad energy.  a lot of the regulars do the same, although many others don't seem to care. she is the only instructor i feel this way about.

Sat - spin or fit, followed by pilates, maybe yin yoga later, not sure

Is the instructor popular? I can't imagine being like that!

She is not popular among the regulars...she doesn't teach yoga...that really wouldn't fit the profile of a yoga instructor, would it?! My "beef" with her is that the schedule is constantly changing, and they never update the online schedule or notify the members. Lots of people complain, and she told me she would make the changes...three times in a row I complained to her, she said would fix it, and she didn't. I eve went above her head, and they didn't care either. I can understand if they aren't able to tell members, but she just lies, saying she will fix it and then she doesn't do anything. They don't even post it in the class door. One of the new instructors has a personal email list and she sends messages on personal email because she knows that so many members are annoyed. But the manager does nothing. Enough of my rant. I can't take a class from an icky person..too much bad energy.

I'm thinking lifestyle fitness works if you're proficient at the activities but there is still the learning curve to get good enough that it's a workout. I do aerial silks, parkour, jazz.  Fun and movement and they could be incredibly difficult if I could do them.  But, for me, it's not a workout yet. I'll keep at them!

Sun: did the run

Mon: rest day

Tues: ran AM and did Zumba evening (firefighter fundraiser)

Wed: another rest day

Thurs: taught step in AM, taught conditioning evening, followed by jazz class

Fri: little run/walk w/ client

Sat: taught boot camp fitness fundraiser, Zumba, 2 1/2 hr kayaking at sunset

I didn't go to Pilates on Wednesday - it was canceled, but I ran on Thursday, and I missed one minute of bike for the erek...so I am giving myself a passing grade for last week...

I didn't go linedancing, and instead of yoga, I went to kickboxing.  Then, on Saturday, since I was sore from kickboxing (AND I had so much studying), I took Saturday OFF.  C'est la vie.

I used to teach kickboxing and didn't think much about it as a workout but I stopped a few months ago and after subbing it, was surprised at how sore I was!  Muscles you don't use in other workouts. I miss teaching!  How is your shoulder doing?
