Do you prefer a gas or charcoal grill when grilling out? Why?

I love to cook and bake, make my own pasta, bread, etc. but the grill escapes me. I can't get the hang ot it! We have a gas grill, fwiw.
lol maybe a grill is the easy way out for me. I don't really bake (unless it's meats and veggies) and often when I cook I'll wrap up whatever i am cooking in foil with some spices and throw it on the grill. Ours is also gas btw. ;-)

Infrared. It makes the steaks crispy grilled on the outside and red-moo on the inside. YUM. I leave all the grilling to dh. I buy all the food, marinate and prep it, hand it to dh, dh grills it, and he exclaims, "I made dinner." Hah. I stole that from a comedianne.
We have a gas grill, and haven't used charcoal in YEARS.
Yeah, nothing beats the smell of barbecue! I wish I lived in an area that weren't so humid and full of mosquitoes!
