What kind of gifts are you giving this year and where do you draw the line at who does and doesn't get something from you?

I am not a "traditional" gift giver.

I'm not really a traditional gift giver either. Hubby and I have always kept Christmas really low key (he grew up not celebrating and I grew up with it being the event of all events each year) so we always just gave a gift or two to our kids and nothing more. Suddenly our family has grown (a granddaughter, two fiances and a significant other) and we are trying not to spend a fortune on gifts but since the additions come from families that take Christmas very serious I feel compelled to get them something.

I'm thinking some restaurant gift certificates would be really practical since the couples love to go out to eat- Thanks for the idea!

As far as where we draw the line, we have never included teachers, bosses, co-workers (except for secret santa pals) brothers and sisters or their children. We both come from large families so we would be totally broke!

I'm not a traditional gift giver, either. I buy things for people I see during the year that I think they'll like. But, I can never wait so I give it to them right away.

My gift giving habits are definitely changing as I get older.

I was thinking it could be a good business.
