lol I think Michelle Obama's new do has got everyone thinking about bangs. I was browsing the iVillage homepage today and saw something about how to cut your own bangs and had to laugh about it. My few attempts at cutting my own bangs were a complete disaster and I will NEVER do it again. Have you ever tried it?

I do it ALL the time! Like, every other month or so. I've been doing it since I was a teen so it doesn't even phase me anymore. However, my hairdresser may think I'm nuttso as she has to clean them up every time I go in. ;)

Hahaha, far more often than I should and every time I do, I think, "Oops!"  It's especially a bad idea after a glass of wine.  I've done the twist for side swept bangs, like this:

I need to invest in good sheers, maybe. Or just go to the salon--this is why many places do bangs for free.  It saves them the work of fixing up mistakes!

I trim my bangs about once a month and have been doing it for years. I get my hair cut every 3-4 months and my hairdresser never says that my bangs are messed up, but I let them get long before the haircut so he has plenty to work with. I've only had one or two "whoops" moments. I have a pair of small sharp scissors, I think the small scissors makes a big difference.
