I got myself the Jillian Michaels Yoga meltdown dvd...started doing it yesterday and today and some of the moves I cannot do such as the plank...I would start doing the move and then my body starts shaking as I cannot hold my pose...is that normal for someone beginning??...I know I am not very athletic but I am a walker and I wanted to do yoga as well...I have a gym membership which I have not started yet (Christmas present from one of my boys ;)) I was doing the Jillian Michaels ultimate workout for the Wii but that did not work out well so now I am going to do the actual videos where she tells me what to do. The other question i have does anybody "skip" a move when doing your workout simply cuz you cannot do that pose but continue on with the workout?? I am just taking it slow this week as I think I may have rheumatoid arthritis but am doing for xrays and bloodwork tomorrow to see whats up ...I was all excited to get started now this arthritis is making me "feel old" before I even get started...and NO I am not lol... anyways, hope someone can help me.... It is perfectly normal for your body to shake as you try to hold a pose.

Oh I have that DVD! Sorry I am just now seeing this but yes-I have that shaking too. I just took my time in working up to some of the poses. Also, if I can't do something, I do my best until I finally get to where I can (like those Ashtaranga push-ups!).

Are you working on Level 1?

I am working on Level 1 and I have yet to finish this level. I get to about 20 mins or so and then i quit...only cuz my joints are hurting and I am sweating... thx to all for the inputs... Susan
