No yoga for 2 mos & now I feel old....

I have not figured out a schedule since my kids started school. I have one in 1/2-day kindergarten & then a 3rd grader. We've lost our school bus due to budget cuts & I work from home. I feel like I'm running all the time - especially back & forth to the school. So, I've let my yoga routine drop.

Now, 2 short months later, my thumb joint hurts & I cannot open jars. I'm constantly feeling like I need to realign my back. My left ankle is extremely stiff & tender. I'm limping as I have a knee brace on the right knee. I'm a mess!

Oh yay for you!! I spent the last month helping my mother move (from different state to across the street from me) and it consumed all of my spare time. The constant driving back and forth and helping her pack, etc. I had to set aside most of my time for working out and now I'm back to hitting the gym full time and can't believe how sore I got the first few days.

Good luck and hope you get back to normal soon!

That's really interesting. Sometimes we don't realize how beneficial something is until we stop doing it.

When I can't do yoga being sick or stressed I notice I do not move as freely and lightly...a whole bunch of things.

There's nothing like yoga, that is for sure.

I hear ya on the schedule. I have a kindergartener in a part-time charter school/homeschool program, a preschooler and a toddler. Its been hard to find time for my practice as well. But, like you, I can feel it when I miss it. Good job getting back on the mat!

Wow you are one busy gal! How do you like that charter school? I have always homeschooled (my oldest is graduated from college now and working on his masters, and my teens are in college currently) and I had thought about a charter school for my youngest for highschool but not sure. How does charter school/homeschool work?

I also work form home and with kids and work and now with Christmas coming I'm finding it hard to fit it all in but I do notice that when I do my 30 minutes of yoga a day my day goes a little smoother. I feel more relaxed and the day seems less stressful. Its hard to fit it in but totally worth it for the benefits.

Oh fantastic! Do you do your session in the morning or evening (or just whenever you can squeeze it in)? Are your kids old enough to do Yoga with you?
