Hmmmm, My old siggy is shown. Weird. I'll have to look into that today.
I ran on the stupid treadmill last night due to the continuing rain here. So grateful the effects of the hurricane weren't worse though. I'm praying for those in the bad areas, especially NY and NJ. The photos I have seen online are truly heartbreaking! On this Thankful Thursday, I am thankful that my friends in those areas have now checked in and are doing ok:)
Our trick or treating got rescheduled for this weekend (which means we can't go) so we hit the gym last night instead of stuffing our faces with candy. Luckily, Em and Caleb have been to a few parties and parades this year so they got to wear their costumes a lot already. They *should* be ok with missing trick or treat.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day and that the board is working for all of you too:)
i'm in! took a minute or two after it told me i'm not authorized to post comments to work. I'm really busy at work but wanted to post and say i got a very happy, uninjured, 87 miles in for October. :)
I'm running after work today & cam has boy scouts. 3 weeks today is turkey day! yay.
After several attempts to log in all I ever got was a warning that I am not authorized to post. Even after I created a new username. This time, it appeared to work.
Nothing to say, really, other than I've temporarily cracked the code.
I'm sorry you were having trouble with logging in under your regular name. The reason that those "unauthorized" errors occur has to do with log in. There seems to be a few second delay from the time someone logs in until they are actually logged in (especially for those using IE). In the mean time, if you try to post, you get that error message. Try logging in again under your usual name, waiting for a few seconds until your name appears at the top of the board and see if that helps. You also may want to try a different browser to see if it changes.
The mobile version is not currently working properly (as you can see) and the tech team is aware of it and working on a solution. Unfortunately, however, because of the storm in NYC, many iVillage staff members can't get to work, don't have power to work, or are trying to work with spotty internet service so it may take a while longer than what we had hoped for to see changes.
We do want to thank you for your patience as we know this is a big inconvenience. :-)
So, it's the end of the day and no one is reading this but I wanted to check in and see if it works.
Also, I'm incredibly thankful for my beautiful son Alexander. I always say he's "beautiful" but he really is from the inside out. May the hand of God keep him safe on this journey and return him to me the same.
Thanks, that helped. But, it took a lot longer than a few seconds! Changing browswers didn't help, by the way. I can only logon with FF, not at all with IE.
Perhaps you should create a sticky thread to warn new users of the current problems and strategies to get around them?
I'm glad that worked for you. We have an entire board set up for help and it there is reference too it on the main board pages and the iVillage home page: iVillage Help
