My first running injury

Well I did it. I twisted my ankle stepping off the curb to avoid a car. I don't think it is anything serious but I am going to have to stay off of it for a few days. My husband says his friends told him once you twist your ankle, you'll be prone to doing it again and again. Is this true and should I wear some sort of brace when I get back into action? What about that tape I see people with?

Well I just wanted to say that I stayed off of it for a few days and all is well, I think. I've started back up jogging again and it is a bit sore but doing okay.

I had a major 'twisted' ankle about 6 years ago.   I was laid up for weeks, but nothing was torned just pulled.  I run without anything.  I will say that my ankle does turn a lot easier now, but it doesn't hurt but a few minutes and then I am good.  Even if I turn it during a run, I just keep going and it is fine.

I hope you are still doing good.
