Which fitness gadgets would you recommend?

Pedometer (which one?)

Striiv

Nike fuel band

FitBit?

did I miss any?

I have a wW's pedometer but I don't feel it's accurate, although I have changed my stride several times over the same 4 mile course.

Hi Theresa and welcome to the board. I don't use any fitness gadgets so I can't recommend anything but do hope others will give their input.

I don't really need a pedometer because I generally either hit the treadmill or will take a particular route in the park near me which is already marked for mileage.

So how long have you been walking and what are your walking goals?

All I have is a pedomoeter (adn I truly don't know where it came from --- or where it is now, for that matter) so I'm afraid I can't help you out.

My goal is to loose weight.  I started jogging in 1987, ruined one knee, so now I'm down to walking.  :smileyhappy:  I have been thinking about one of these gadgets for motivation.  Leaning heavily toward the Striiv.

Hi Theresa, I haven't heard of the strive, but I did do a review on some fitness gadgets for my blog here ... http://resolve2evolve2.blogspot.ca/2012/07/musings-of-gadget-geek-part-iii.html that covers some of the one's you mentioned!

I have an Omron pedometer.  I love it.  It's very accurate and can be put in my pocket and still be super accurate.  I don't use it everyday but when I want to try to get 10,000 steps or more of activity it's fun to use it.

The other thing I've been wanting to get is a heart rate monitor mostly for working out at the gym.

Fitness gadgets can help with motivation,we have just brought a home suspension strap which you can hang from your door which is great for body weight exercises, we also have a kettle bell which is good for building muscle
