Do you monitor your own blood pressure? According to Health Day News, those who participate in their own healthcare do better. "Tracking your own blood pressure at home can help you control hypertension, a new research review finds.

And if you have a clinician's help in monitoring your blood pressure, you'll likely do even better, at least in the short term, according to the study, which was published Aug. 6 in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine." read more

I don't but I know many people do these days. It seems like a good idea since you are the one that cares about you the most.

I do...:)...

My NP is new but she is really good about that...The Clinic I go to ALWAYS has been since I started which I like.

My LAST visit she was pleased as my blood pressure was really good.

I am on medication.

Which I take.

She has encouraged me to talk to the Dietician and I have an appointment this up-coming month in September.

Also I will finally be getting to see a Rheumatologist.

I monitor mine from time to time. Thinking it might be time for a new monitor though. Anyone have ideas on how long they last and are accurate?

Thanks... Rhonda in CA
