Do you eat blueberries or strawberries on a weekly basis? It may help reduce your risk of heart attack according to a new study. iVillage Health reports that "During the study period, 405 participants had heart attacks. Women who ate the most blueberries and strawberries were 32 percent less likely to have a heart attack, compared to women who ate berries once a month or less. This held true even among women who ate a diet rich in other fruits and vegetables."

I think this is very encouraging. What do you think?

Wow... thanks for sharing that! Contrary to my silly membername, I do eat healthy foods; I'm a huge veggie eater, but tend to skimp a bit on fruits. But strawberries... yum! No hardship there to add that into menu more often. Blueberries, I'm not so crazy about; just never could cultivate a taste for them.

This is very encouraging. I eat blueberries several times a week with my oatmeal. I started eating them when someone told me it helps improve memory and I honestly love them. It's great to know there are more benefits to eating them than just good taste.

Nice -- Blueberries and strawberries are my favorite... now I just have to remember that they would be healthier without that slice of cheesecake underneath! LOL

All kidding aside, that's enough to make me increase my weekly intake and the fact that it's two of my all-time favorites is just a nice little bonus.
