Do you take fish oil supplements for your heart? According to this iVillage Health article, you may be wasting your time and money. "Omega-3 fatty acids have been touted as a way to reduce the risk of a host of cardiovascular problems, but now Greek researchers report that may not be true.

Their finding runs counter to the recommendations of many experts, including American Heart Association officials, who say it's important to consume enough omega-3 fatty acids for good heart health." MORE

Interesting --- I suppose it can't hurt to take the supplements but it is something you might consider dropping if you are trying to save $$$, especially if more studies supporting the results of the Greek one come out. Meanwhile, I'd tend to wait and see --- there are always outlying studies and studies that need verification...

My Cardiologist told me to take fish oil. Ive been taking it for the past 4 years. Guess now I will wait and see what further studies find and recommend. In the mean time since I already have it I will continue using it.
